Fell off the ladder & fx my wrist. Had surgery & pt doing great. I often forget which wrist was repaired. Great person & orthopod. I’m so upset he’s gone! Nobody knows where or why! I need his skill again & have no orthopedic surgeon to turn to.

Dr. Taormina is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon. I suffered from thumb pain for months. After using injections for awhile Dr Taormina suggested several surgical options that supported my life style. After surgery and rehab, my hands are as good as new. I highly recommend Dr. Taormina for his skills, knowledge and personality.

Dr Taormina performed replacement knee surgery on my right knee in February 2021 and on my left knee in May 2021. The surgery and the therapy following surgery was not pleasant however the results were great. Dr Taormina thoroughly explained the procedure and following surgery checked often to insure my new knees were good. I recently had my two year checkup and I have no pain, good range of movement and do not restrict my mobility. Dr Taormina and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable and I highly recommend them.

Dr. Taormina has possibly the best bed-side manner I’ve ever encountered. He is most importantly, very technically sound and very forward thinking about treatment options, but it’s his patient interaction that really sets him apart. Highly recommend.

Dr Taormina performed surgery on my middle finger, left hand, to remove a soft tissue tumor that was continuing to grow. He was very thorough in his evaluation and recommendations. He took the time to carefully explain my options and timeline for each step from surgery to recovery. I am very pleased with the results and must say he exceeded my expectations. Dr Taormina worked a miracle repairing my broken wrist! I had broken my wrist several months earlier and the ER doctor casted-it. It continued to hurt weeks later so I sought out an ortho specialist. I met with Dr. Taormina who advised that my break was complicated and include several broken bones and torn tendons and ligaments. After 2 surgeries conducted over several months and many PTs my wrist is nearly 100%. I felt Dr. Taormina was genuinely concerned with achieving the best outcome. He explained things in understandable terms and took the time to fully answer my questions. I worked with him and his office staff over 8 months and would highly recommend him.

I am so grateful that Dr Taormina, through his exceptional surgical skills, was able to fix a 6-week old wrist fracture. He actually rebroke my wrist and installed a titanium plate to hold the broken bones together. The best part is that it works great!!! I broke my arm while in Nova Scotia. An ER dr set and cast it. When I arrived back in the US, an ER Ortho dr took another X-ray. He was pretty clear that it was not healing properly. I needed to find an experienced ortho surgeon at home, Fernandina Beach, FL I started my research immediately and everyone pointed to Dr David Taormina with Jacksonville Ortho Institute. No sooner had I met him, he performed the surgery. I could not have ask for a finer surgeon and doctor.

Doc and office are excellent. Operated on my broken wrist in 2021. Full and complete recovery.

Saw me immediately after knee injury. Two follow up visits. Gave me a thoughtful analysis, alternatives, and recommendations. Took time with me. I found him to be knowledgeable, a good listener, and a good at explaining. Highly recommended.

Pleasant, professional and knowledgeable

In the beginning of the year I took a horrible fall that broke my patella in several places. I was physically and mentally shattered. From the first day after the emergency room to the last appointment 6 months later Dr. Taormina guided me through the worst pain and trauma I had ever experienced. He was compassionate so many times throughout the months listening to each and every question and concern. He was knowledgeable and highly skilled in my surgery and recovery. His office staff, surgery assistant, physical therapists all were extremely polite and knowledgeable as well. I would recommend him to any individual with the highest of accolades. I will be forever grateful for being able to have him as my doctor.

Dr Taormina is awesome and I would recommend him to anyone. I unexpectedly had to go see him when I broke my kneecap in February 2022. I broke it right in half. My surgery with Dr. was two weeks after because of the swelling and he was very upfront and honest about everything to expect from surgery and recovery. It wasn’t easy but I made it through and have the all clear! Thank you!

I had a severe break in my wrist from playing tennis. It ultimately took 5 months to fully heal. Dr Taormina explained the extent of my injuries and the time required to properly heal along with the necessary PT. Every follow up visit was with him, which I appreciate as I have had procedures at other physicians and the follow up visits are often with their PAs or NPs. Overall, I am extremely happy with the surgery and follow up care from Dr Taormina.

Dr. Taormina suggested considering operative repair of my trigger finger after cortisone shot did not help. The surgery was well-explained, and all my questions were addressed with care. The surgery was quick and easy and I had ZERO pain and ZERO swelling afterward. No sling needed, dressing came off and stitches came out after a week. Done! Dr. Toarmina was superbly capable, efficient (in a good way) and asked numerous questions of me during my 2 post-op appointments, making sure all was going well. Highly recommend.

I broke my wrist, Dr Taormina was very through with me about my surgery and recovery. I could not have asked for better care from him or his friendly professional staff. I was treated and cared for immediately when I had a problem. I highly recommend Dr. Taormina, he is a talented caring surgeon.
