EXCELLENT
Dr. Strom did my surgery last week, I was referred to him with my insurance. I am very pleased with the clinic and people that work there, I was not disappointed. I had to drive 2 hours to see him, I was early and was taken in. The following week he performed my surgery and I am home healing now. He was very professional as were everyone that I encountered. He fully explained what my surgery was and the recovery instructions for after.

Experiesnce was exceptional
I was extremely pleased with Dr. Strom. He understood my problem and was able to make my visit less scary than I had anticipated. I was offered a same day appointment but due to my location opted for an appointment the next morning which was a day sooner than our local office was able to see me. We arrived early and was called back almost immediately. His staff was pleasant and professional as is Dr. Strom.

Extremely pleased with my initial visit and follow up visit. My ankle was swollen and could not put weight on it. After x-rays and careful examination he noticed a small spider bite behind my knee and told me deep tissue infection due to the spider bite. Prescribed antibiotics and it cleared up within a week. He is direct, to the point and knows his stuff.

I saw Dr. Strom yesterday for pain in the heel of my right foot, fortunately no bone spur but plantar faciitis, treated with a cortisone injection. I could actually take a step and walk when I got out of bed this morning with no stabbing pain on the bottom of my foot. Dr. Strom performed my foot surgery (bone fusion) on my left foot back in 2004 and I have not had anymore pain/issues since my recovery which was about 3 months. Prior to the surgery and being taken into the operating room the nurse could tell I was nervous and told me, "You have a really good surgeon and I'm not just telling you that to make you feel better, he's one of the best and I really mean that." Those were her exact words to me. I will always remember and be thankful for the care provided and recommend Dr. Strom to anyone.

I went to Dr. Strom for pain in my leg and foot. I tried to tell him where the pain was and he said "That doesn't help me". I found him to be more than just straight forward. He was rude and spent less than 5 min with me. His answer was to give me a cortisone shot and come back in a few weeks. Our appt. time was changed on our second visit and we had to wait an hour and again he talked to me for about 5 minutes. He said he did not know what to do and didn't give me options. So I made an appt with a Dr. in Sanford. He spent 40 minutes talking to me. I told him my symptoms and he knew exactly what was wrong and in less than 2 months I was walking pain free again with no meds, surgery or cortisone shot. I would not go to Dr. Strom again. He doesn't listen and is in too big of a hurry to actually care. I saw him twice and even my daughter couldn't believe how little time he spent with me (less than 5 min).

I wish I could give you stars of darkness, the way you left my life 4 years ago. The dark roads of finding my on way when dr strom had no care as I pleaded. And 2 surgeries later to try and fix his error of debilitating injuries he performed on me and still I'm damaged, my life ended thanks to him. I've not had quality of life, but I've got the quality of chronic pain I fight everyday just to survive. I've learned from this how much a person life really means to others in North Carolina State and how far a surgeon can go in mistakes of a patient and still walk out wearing a robe of royalty. Im not the only patient by this surgeon, but still today he is still active.. Beware

Assigned Dr Strom after emergency walk-in for broken leg. Initially ok after a full leg cast. I needed a power lift chair after falling 4 times, which Dr told me to be carful . My insurance company initially approved. I needed the Dr recommendation. The admin called back and Dr Strom denied the request saying he saw no need nor being necessary. The admin informed him of my calls to no avail. I have sense fallen again, this time breaking the crutch. Now finding a Dr w/injury prevention

Terrible bedside manner! If you are looking for a doctor who can explain things to you, he is not that person. He made me feel like he didn't care and didn't wish to take the time to listen to my concerns. I am scheduling a second opinion because I do not trust him. "It'll take time to get better." I understand this, but I want to make sure nothing is wrong and I want to expedite the healing process because I live an active lifestyle!

If you're referred to Dr Strom for orthopedic surgery walk away--no, run away as fast as you can! I had ankle surgery last year and developed RSD. He told me there was no treatment for RSD so I suffered unnecessarily for months with the extreme pain. He lacks empathy and concern!

He comes in nearly late every appointment. He barely spend 30 seconds if not a minute working with you. For over 2 years I have been in pain. All he ever does is send me to another doctor such as a back pain clinic when my injury has nothing to do with my back it is my foot. The doctor is now saying I have Achilles tendinitis from 2 years of CRPS and I will just get better. Would not even bother talking to me when I requested to talk with him after he flew out the room as quickly as he came in.
