Dr. David Shih, MD

Dr Shih did my colonoscopy. He is very friendly and personable at my first appointment before the procedure. The procedure went flawless. I don’t feel any discomfort after. Hr waiting patiently for me to be awake and explain what he finds. I will high recommend him. I am taking my dad to see him today.

Took forever to get through to make another appointment Doctor seemed disinterested.

I came to Shih, half a dozen times. Did everything he recommended and my symptoms never went away. On one of the last visits he told me that it was in my head and to learn to deal with my head. I dont think so, its not psychosomatic i know something is triggering my symptoms. On the last visit i told him that he was wrong about telling me that its in my head and he said that he never said that. That is why I'm writing this. My insurance changed and I had to go to a different physician who recommended over the counter meds that actually helped me. Then we figured out that my microbiome was completely gone due to all the antibiotics and meds that I have been taking. Dr Shih is only interested in making money and not about your care. He recommends treatments that people don't need just to get paid in my opinion. It's sad that we cannot trust our doctors. I would stay gar away from this guy. This review is six years in the making.

My nephew was referred to Dr. Shih and the moment I read his where he was educated -those are some of the Top Schools in the world. Came here from Cedar Sinai, professor, author, Scientist, graduated from MIT at the TOP of his class!! Humanitarian, inventor always looking for new medicine research new ways and a fresh approach from the old pill taking not fixing anything method of medicine. Run don’t walk to Dr. Shih- if you’re hurting- this Doc is capable of truly helping you! ;)

In my life I’ve never had such a bad experience with a Dr. I was referred here to check status on ulcers on my stomach and hiatal hernia, Dr. Shih scheduled me for an endoscopy to “check my acid levels” with not further explanation, When I showed up I found out from a pre-op nurse they were implanting a Bravo device (Shih should to have told me this BEFORE), but I trusted him when he said I would carry on as normal. I woke up in severe pain, it was blown off, but by that eve I was in the ER. I called the answering service 3 times, Dr. Shih didn’t call me back until 10am the next day, he just left me in the ER. At my follow up he belittled my reaction, told me I have no acid abnormalities (never mind I couldn’t eat so the data was impacted), said there is no treatment for the ulcers (not true), and rec’d a pain mgmt clinic because an intolerance to pain was his explanation for what had happened, even though I never even had a pain problem after spine surgery. Left crying and frustrated

I was given a colonoscopy from Dr. Shih. He was able to remove several polyps that I had. He explained comprehensively the surgery. Everything went well. The visit to the surgery center was similar to a visit to a day spa. Excellent treatment.

Awful! I went to him 1 time with extreme pelvic and intestinal pain . I tried to explain my complicated health . Unfortunately Dr. Shi was in a rush and very short with me . I had to cancel an appointment bc I was in the hospital so I did cancel it . Months later I tried to make the appointment and they told me he wouldn’t see me?? So now I’m working with a liver dr who referred me to a different dr. In their offuce. I called to make the appointment and they told me no dr would see me bc I was a no show with dr. Shih.? I explained I was in the hospital and I did in fact call to cancel and the staff told me I couldn’t see any of the drs there ?? Really unfortunate bc I have rare medical GI diseases which they could learn from and help with!

Dr Shih seeks to find out true causes of gastrointestinal issues rather than just put you on meds and hope it works. Im blessed he was my doctor. He makes extremely accurate decisions to better your health. And he is helped much by making sure he knows and understands all your issues so he can accurately help. He was an advocate while I was working on a gynecologic diagnosis and was willing to put his recommendation to have a lap preformed if my new gyno didnt want to. Thankfully I found a good gynecologist who cares as much as Dr Shih has about me getting diagnosed. He also drew conclusions on what needed to be tested for after I found out I had IC. Im not sure theres a better GI dr available here in Nevada. For me I want him to be my GI dr as long as possible

No chance that I would recommend this doctor.

I had given up hope but Dr. Shih has found out what is wrong with me and we are on a treatment plan. I am 75 years old and feel like a new person. Thank you Dr. Shih, you are the best!

Very INCOMPETENT office staff, there are other doctors just as good,I would not want to go into surgery w/my dr. Not having accurate info. They didn't even have my add.,a PO BOX, instead a neighbor got it,I had ALREADY STATED I was getting a different dr. I don't know about you people, but a dr. You've seen for 3yrs should at least have your ADDRESS. Before you go to this doctor's office you really should check the reviews on other media platforms. I can not take this doctor's office seriously, it's really sad, they really are a joke. If they were not so disrespectful and INCOMPETENT, I would feel Sorry for them. But I have heard of too many mistakes that have cost people their lives and I don't intend to be one of them. More people need to check out the sites that have reviews on doctors, BEFORE YOU WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY
