Terrible inconsiderate Doctor
I first saw Dr.Seyburn August 2022. I felt very rushed. He told me to bring the discs I had from my previous Pulmonologist , which I did drop off the following week. I never heard from him this past Monday night January 2. I was in the emergency room because I was having pain and I have emphysema. I had blood work done there and cat scan and CAT scan showed I had pneumonia in my right lung. I was sent home with antibiotics and told to follow up with my doctor. I had called Dr Seyburn’s this morning and he’s off. Long story short I think he is a terrible doctor. He had access to the computer to see all my records from Huntington hospital and in my images and read my reports never heard a word so this morning I spoke to the young lady, and told her I would like to come in next week to pick up my discs because I will no longer come back to him because three strikes and he’s out. He made it quite obvious by not returning my phone calls within three days that he is a very uncaring Dr./man

Upon meeting this pulmonologist for the first time, he came in the room and the first thing he did after greeting me was tell me that I needed to lose weight and to control my portion sizes, while motioning portion size amounts with his hands. I admit that I’m overweight. Not morbidly obese but still. I’m a healthcare worker and understand that a doctor needs to counsel a patient on weight loss, however this man has never met me, has no idea what medication I take, and doesn’t know my medical history which could indicate why I have trouble losing weight. When I explained that I eat very healthy at home and my history, he quickly dismissed me and proceeded with the exam. When I explained I was wheezing at night and having shortness of breath, he told me to get a pulse oximeter so I wouldn’t be nervous(never said I was). I said my body was in pain from constantly coughing and he tried to give me tessalon pearls. Get a doctor that sees a patient not a number. Save your co-pay.

Dangerous doctor. Do not attempt to see him. He almost cost me my life. He misdiagnosed my condition. He told me I had an upper respiratory infection. Turned out to be severe severe pneumonia. This man who is almost 70 should be retired from the medical community. Look for another doctor fast. I am alive because I went to another doctor.

He's a wonderful, caring, diligent and brilliant doctor. He takes his time with each patient and I trust his expertise. So much so that I've recommended him to friends and co-workers who all boast about him.
