Review of Dr Ruggieri, Center for Health
Also near a 20 year patient, initially as a primary and more recently as a cardio situation, I have relied on his care. He is all business with follow up attention and frequent use of testing, much of it in house. ..His office team are effective and friendly. At 87 I'm pleased to need only one doctor. Jim Howard

Dr Ruggieri is very knowledgeable and professional. He is kind, considerate, and compassionate. Dr Ruggieri genuinely cares about my health and well being. He explains his decisions in language that I understand and listens to my concerns. I am very impressed by his hands on knowledge with stents and coronary artery disease. He is confident and considers my overall health in his decisions. I always feel that I am in good hands with Dr Ruggieri. I feel that he “has my back”. Dr Ruggieri and his entire staff are very respectful to me as their patient.

Dr. Ruggieri and staff
I have been seeing Dr. Ruggieri for over 20 years. He is pro active professional and requires you to take tests during an annual physical with follow ups if needed. The front desk staff is awesome and Patty is exceptional, always with a smile.

Truly my Angel
He listens to my concerns and questions then explains in detail using layman's language. Dr. R always ensures that my wife and i understands the reason(s) for any and all required procedures, medications, my role in assisting in my own healthcare (e.g. lifestyle changes, adjustments). At Follow-up visits, he meticulously explains results including imaging photographs. I never feel rushed. Over the years I have had at least three previous cardiologist and in my view, he is definitely the BEST.

Highly Recommended
I met Dr. Ruggieri 30 years ago as a customer. I am a local painting contractor, and time went by, so I lost contact with him. I had my own doctor, and at the time, I didn’t need his services. During Hurricane Charley, I went to the emergency room with kidney stones. When I arrived at the ER, the first question was: “Who is your primary doctor?”They tried to call my primary doctor, but they couldn’t reach him because, during the storm, no doctors were available. I was waiting in the examining room and recognized Dr. Ruggieri. I asked the nurse to verify if it was really him, and she confirmed it was.I asked the nurse to let him know that Tony the painter was here. It didn’t take more than 2 minutes, and he was in the examining room asking me questions. After x-rays, he found that I had kidney stones. He gave me medication and a shot and then sent me home. I became his patient, and have been ever since. During those years, he discovered other health issues that had never been diagno

Dr Ruggieri has been my doctor since 1994. He is very thorough with my check ups and honest with the results. He and his staff give excellent care and the one good thing is they do stress tests, echocardiagrams, and ultrasounds right in the office. No need to travel around to get the tests. Patty at the front desk is awesome. She handles everything with scheduling needed tests. I wouldn’t trust anyone with my heart except Dr Ruggieri. He’s the Best!!

You won't find a more qualified & caring doctor. He does not drop the ball. Not only a heart doctor but board certified internist . He care about his patients and more than anything seeks prevention rather then intervention.....................he excelent at both. I have had many health issues in the past 20 years and he has helped me work thru them

Dr. Ruggieri has been my cardiologist and primary doctor for many many years. He is thorough and I have such confidence in him. I have recommended him to my family and friends. I know of no other doctor who routinely gives his patients his personal cell phone number and picks up! Highly recommend.

Dr Ruggieri is not a kind man! My Dad had a blood clot and he would go for his visit and the Dr. would be multi tasking and dealing with other patients issues during my fathers visit, he didn't even view his leg during visit as he is elderly and had a good friend accompany him and she was upset for my Dad. He didn't address his medications and he had been complaining of a severe pain issue he had been dealing with in his arm and hand and because of the clot he had to wait for surgery so when my Dad asked him how much longer it could be when he would be allowed to have surgery as he was in such pain, the Dr came back and said stop asking me that every time you come here, I told you not now! Well my Dad is 83 and has early onset Alzheimer's and to speak to an elderly patient or any patient for that matter is terrible. The friend mentioned this to him as well. I sent a letter to his practice and that I could report him and of course my Dads final visit he treated him like a king!

I started seeing Dr Ruggieri June 2019 and I am very happy to have him as my doctor. Dr. Ruggieri is dedicated to his patients. The thing I like most about him is that when I complain of feeling pain or other medical problems he recommends the necessary test -blood test; x-ray; etc and states “I do not want to miss anything “ this doctor is about making sure his patients receive the best care as he knows how.

Dr. Ruggieri is an actual life saver. I had been having shortness of breath and dizzy spells for over a year. I was being treated by the VA, who ran all kinds of tests and repeatedly came up with nothing. I decided to get checked by Dr. Ruggieri. He immediately scheduled tests of his own. The tests didn't show any serious problem, but he erred on the side of caution and did a cath procedure to look inside the heart. He found 99% blockage and stinted me right then. He definitely saved my life.

I Have been seeing Dr. Ruggieri for over 15 years. I live in St. Petersburg and travel 1.5 hours for his services. He put my stints in over 8 years ago with excellent results. I recently started brining my 84 year old mother to him. She has been having heart erythema and orthostatic hypotension. He has gotten her off unnecessary medication and revised her current medications. He also called her personally for days to check on her progress. He is through and caring. He is direct and to the point.

Dr Ruggieri is a dedicated, straightforward, and world-class professional. Consistently I'm impressed by his unwavering commitment to patients, helping them become the healthiest versions of themselves. His acute ability to bring a no-nonsense attitude to all things healthcare and never sugar coat can be intimidating, but I'll take that scientist who gets to the point and tells me the truth any day, especially if there is genius to back it up, and Dr. Ruggieri has that genius in spades.
