Great dr
I had cataract surgery with Dr Ritterband on my right eye May 2022. I would highly recommend him. I went to 8 other drs before I met Dr Ritterband. Yes 8 drs. Since my left eye has scarring on the retina and is farsighted while my right eye was nearsighted these dr wer very vague.. When I met Dr Ritterband he said my right eye was perfectly healthy . Since my left eye had so many problems all the other drs said pick a monofocus lens. The drs You can either see farsighted and see nothing up close or you can see nearsighted and you will see nothing in the distance. This gave me alot of anxiety. When I met Dr ritterband he said he could work with the lens where I would see the 30 line far away and I would be able to see my phone although it might be blurry. All the other drs said this was not possible. So after surgery I can read some letters on the 20 line and I can see who is calling on my phone. He is a miracle worker.

I don’t Reccomend him at all
Dr Ritterband pro used be a good doctor not anymore, I have been having problems from day one after his cataract laser surgery ,he is not been able to correct my vision problem , it’s been almost a year since my surgery still no relief, last time I saw doctor Ritterband was April 19, 2022 that day he told me I see you in a year, I guess he didn’t want to hear my vision problems anymore , no time for my problems.

I would have recommended Dr. Ritterband very highly after undergoing two cataract surgeries with him. However i have told my wife to go elsewhere for her surgery. The problem is that his office is inefficient, the system used for scheduling surgery is anxiety causing, the ONLY PERSON SCHEDULING IS OVERWORKED AND TO GET TO HER IS ABOUT AS HARD AS TALKING TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE USA. The hospital is a disgrace dirty and disorganized. Lines all over. i cannot understand how NYS has not closed it.

He was very nice and answered all my questions, however, I am not happy with the staff in the office at the front desk and the surgical coordinator who never returns my calls. I consider that to be rude and unprofessional.
