I recently had a very disheartening experience with Dr. Richard’s in the ER. After a motor vehicle accident, I went in seeking help, specifically requesting X-rays to assess my injuries. Instead, I felt dismissed and misunderstood. Dr. Richard’s inaccurately noted the opposite of what I communicated, including things I never said. His insistence on categorizing me as a 'drug seeker' was not only frustrating but also completely unfounded. I clearly expressed that I was not interested in pain medication; I just wanted a thorough examination and the appropriate imaging to evaluate my condition.Throughout my past visits, I’ve consistently felt treated with contempt, as if my concerns were nothing more than an inconvenience to him. It was particularly aggravating to hear him dismiss the very real fact that after an accident, the adrenaline can mask pain, which may not manifest until later. This lack of understanding about the body's response. I am in worse shape now & refuse to return.
What went well
  • Office environment
  • Wait times
What could be improved
  • Didn't listen or answer questions
  • Didn't explain conditions well
  • Staff wasn't friendly
  • Didn't trust the provider's decisions
