Great doctor, needs new office staff
We have had Doctor Randell for 2 years and he's a great doctor. We are very pleased with him however his nurse and Tammy are very rude every time we talk to them and trying to get your prescriptions is awful. They won't let us know if the doctor is not there to approve our prescriptions so we have to drive a hour just to get there for them to tell us he hasn't been there. All it would have taken is for them to tell us that when we called. If you're on a controlled substance his office staff treats you like you're some kind of drug addict or something. His secretaries are great but he needs to replace everyone else. We would definitely recommend Doctor Randell but wait until there are changes made with is staff.

Dr Randell is very welcoming and easy to talk to. He is patient and very knowledgeable. My sister recommended Dr Randell to me, he has been her PCP for over 35 years and he is the best PCP I have ever had.

Excellent
Dr Randell has been our family Dr for as long as he has been here. He has been a lifesaver for us in many occasions. Yes, sometimes he is in a hurry, but if you tell him you have more questions, he is beyond attentive. We also prize our relationship with Belinda, PA. She is bright and forward thinking. Tammy, office nurse, is great to smooth out any issues with pharmacy communication. We hope he does not retire anytime soon.

Great doctor for me!
Dr. Randell has been my PCP for years. Other than having a few long waits (which can happen anywhere) he has been attentive, responsive and accurate. There are very few written reviews on here because we tend to talk about negative experiences more than positive ones. I love Dr. Randell and wanted to add some weight to the positive side of the scale.

Too busy to listen
1st I want to say is I will never use David Randell & I hate that my parents & in-laws have him as their doctor(a title he doesn't deserves). He is too "busy" to listen to anyone. I have spoke with him regarding in-laws not driving, which he has agreed with me & then he turns around & signs off that they are safe to drive. However, when I called back, I was told by office staff it was in the computer they were not able to safely drive. (I'm sure it's been changed) The staff even told me how sorry they were for the mistake. Today, we came to him again trying to get other in-law into a nursing facility because it is not safe to have them stay at home alone. Their spouse is already in the facility & our jobs do not allow us to be at home with them 24hrs. Randell was told this. He even checked ER records, could see he has been taken in multiple times for falls but Randell only recommended home health, which in-law refuses. We need help & he will not help at all. Uses anyone else, not him!

Dr. Randell has been our family doctor for approximately 2 years. At times the service has been acceptable however we have had continued problems with communications between their office and several pharmacies and with accurate and timely processing of our prescriptions. On many occasions the prescriptions were not issued until multiple calls were made and then had to be hand carried. The staff has been belligerent and hostile on the phone and many time has hung up on us. The most recent event had my wife in tears because they refused to provide the outcome of a biopsy that was performed. The staff repeatedly denied having the information and again hung up the phone. The information had been provided to them by Abilene Regional Women Center on Thursday and an entry was made in her records but they refused to provide the results. We are now looking to change doctors for obvious reasons. This lack of professionalism and concern for customer satisfaction is totally unacceptable.

Dr. Randell has been our family doctor for years. He has always been willing to listen and open to our concerns. Things have changed in the medical business and doctors have so much pressure on them to see as many patients as possible. They and the staff are working under difficult conditions. Yet I have always found everyone in his office to be kind ,helpful and hard working. Thanks for the great job Dr. Randell and staff!

I have been Dr. Randell's patient ever since he began his practice. He is a wonderful diagnostition. Also, he deeply cares for his patients and their families. I have learned to be firm with his office staff at times, but on the whole, they are extremely helpful. The day he retires will be a sad one for me.

I wish I didn't feel compelled to leave this review, as I am incredibly grateful for all those in the medical profession. Unfortunately, the sub-par care of my grandmother by Dr. Randell has gone too far. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend him or his practice to anyone . When our concerns have been voiced, instead of listening, or seeking to resolve the problem and better serve my grandmother, his responses have been curt, defensive, and simply rude.

He's been our doctor for about 12 years. His office staff is cordial, I guess it depends on the last patient they've dealt with. Dr. Randell is a very good doctor, he's just under staffed. I asked one of his nurses why it took so long to get a prescription refilled. When she came in on Monday, there was 200 scripts waiting to be filled. My appointment was Thursday and and she had worked it down to 100. They were told to get as many done as she could, they would be there tomorrow.
