Excellent doctor

Awesome Doctor, who is not afraid to keep it real with his patience, and be up front. At times, he can seem a little rougher around the edges, but his main priority is his patients, and the safety of the unborn baby or babies and the mother. His by far one of the best maternal fetal medicine doctors you can find I highly recommend him.

Where do I start? He is an alarmist & sent me to numerous specialist visits (including a CANCER center!!!) that were completely unnecessary. Even the doctors I was sent to were confused why I was sent to them. He was rude, insensitive, and late - treating me like a 'case' instead of an actual human and only focused on worst case scenarios. This was my first pregnancy and I was so terrified because of him. I eventually switched practices and my new doctor was not concerned about any of the things Dr Principe tried to scare me about. I also believe the office mixed up my bloodwork as my NIPT was a false negative which is extremely rare, this also caused a lot of trauma & chaos given they did not pick up a chromosome issue with my baby. Absolutely horrible doctor, his nurse is also rude and made comments to my face like "can't believe she got pregnant". They made me feel terrible about myself and I will never get this experience back.

Incredibly knowledgeable and experienced.

I had a great experience with Dr. David Principe and his staff. I’m due in a few weeks and he has been amazing throughout my entire high risk pregnancy. His practice is very thorough, professional and caring. They are always available to help you with any questions or concerns you may have. Nicole is amazing as well as the rest of his office/staff.

He is very insensitive. And also made you feel that he is superior over you. It is like he is not concern with what you are going through. He was late.

I recently had twins at 32 weeks after a high risk pregnancy where one baby had a growth restriction. My twins are healthy despite their early birth and receiving exceptional care. I attribute the extremely positive outcome to my MFM, David Principe, MD. He speaks very directly, particularly when presenting information about challenges in the pregnancy. While it was hard hear about these challenges, his direct communication style was matched with decisiveness and action. He connected us with CHOP for extensive testing and secured me several appointments with their MFM team, which he reviewed, his staff was professional and reassuring, he was always available if I had any urgent question and I know he genuinely cared about the outcome for me and my babies.

This doctor doesn’t care the patient but only money. He would send the patient to numerous places for reasons that even other doctors couldn’t understand.

Hours of waiting time, yet the doctor only spent a few minutes with us. He doesn’t care the patient but only to instill fear. Besides, every visit we were charged hundreds sometimes thousands of dollars for the bill without any explanation from the doctor.

I had to wait over 2 hours for a visit and I had taken time off of work to get there for my appointment. Had I known that I would be waiting that long, I would’ve just finished work normally. Also, the reception staff is completely clueless and doesn’t care at all if they’re rude to you. Even the nurses gave out wrong information about what to expect for a visit. They told me I had to fast for possible testing when I literately talked to the doctor for 10 minutes. Completely useless and always gave out wrong info. I don’t recommend this practice if you can find a better doctor. He also didn’t seem to know your medical history before you got there even if you’ve seen him multiple times.

I switched to Doctor Principe’s practice after a very unfortunate experience with another doctor. It was possibly the best decision my husband and I could have ever made. He made me feel at ease with every visit and even when I ran into some issues during my pregnancy, he was on top of it immediately. His calm demeanor, patience and knowledge allowed me to trust in the entire process and gave me a sense of confidence. His concern for my health was clear and was always there to answer any questions or concerns. Throughout the nine months of visits, my husband and I has also become very close with the nurses and staff (loved Nicole) and miss them now that my little boy has arrived. They were always so friendly, cheerful, resourceful, flexible and accommodating. I truly believe my husband and I were blessed to be introduced to this incredible man and feel as though our little guy might not be here today without his guidance. Doctor Principe is truly an amazing doctor.

Dr Principe is an absolute blessing. Wow. He is such an intelligent,amazing, compassionate, caring, wonderful doctor. I have sheer confidence he is the best high risk doctor to treat my son and i to overcome any obstacle we might incur. He is so easy to communicate with addresses all my questions and concerns in the most wonderful informative manner. He is so focused and his in depth knowledge and expertise shines through with every consultation. He is soo well respected and we are soo fortunate

Dr. Principe is a wonderful doctor. I was in high risk pregnancy, and referred to Dr. Principe for extensive care. It was a good luck to know Dr. Principe. His office staff are amazing. They are very easy to communicate with. Dr. Principe is personal, positive, responsible and very sharp. I trust him for all his advice and decisions. Without this doctor and his amazing staff (Nicole, Joey, etc.), it's impossible for me to have a healthy and happy baby. Thank you, Dr. Principe, Nicole, Joey, etc.

Horrid bedside manner. This clown barely explains anything and communication back to my primary is spotty at best. I would never see this doctor again.

While telling me something caught his attention in the ultrasound he was very goofy with the staff. Not being able to tell me what complications it could bring he said after the MRI results come in we would know more information and whether I would want to terminate the pregnancy, not the correct words to use especially if no results are in yet!. Then he wants to send me to CHOP in PA for an MRI is ridiculous, getting a 2nd opinion! Asked personal questions too, is he the father of your first?

Dr Principie has a very direct, no sugar coating approach. As I am nearing 40, have a history of blood clots and this being my first pregnancy, I understood the risks. Dr Principie was encouraging, honest and gave us hope when we had lost hope. He helped us through the emotions of our two miscarriages and never let us give up. Today, we are the proud parents of an amazing healthy boy and would probably have not done it with out the help of Dr. Principie and his AMAZING Staff. Thank You Team

I would never recommend this doctor to anyone going through a tough pregnancy. He asked us not to proceed with the pregnancy and was quite blunt and unfeeling. He never seemed to have time to stand/sit and talk about our options. I went on to have a full term pregnancy no thanks to this doctor.

Worst Doctor, I met him during my 20tth week of pregnancy. I was going through complications and instead of fixing the issue he immodestly recommended us to abort the pregnancy. I was shocked and heart broken. We immediately went for a second opinion and today I have a healthy 9 month old baby. I am thankful to date that we didn't listen to dr. David Príncipe's suggestion else I would have lost my child. I hate this doctor. He definitely can't handle complicated cases.

I met Dr. Principe at 16 weeks pregnant. We hit it off so well the 1st day. He was very outspoken and so was I. I asked questions and he answered them each and every time. He was reachable by phone at every stage throughout my twin pregnancy. After my successful delivery he took the time to tell me how proud he was of me for following all his instructions that led to a safe pregnancy and ultimately a safe delivery. The best Dr. EVER! His nurse Nicole and secretary Jessica..amazing!!??
