I am so pleased with the results of my cataract surgery and Love having my sight back! Dr. Perlmutter does a lot of cataract surgeries so is very skilled and also is a very nice person. Believe he does the most cataract surgeries in the Albany, NY area. He is excellent.

I’m so upset having to leave this review, but I feel people need to be warned. First, Dr. Perlmutter is a fantastic doctor who even encourages reviews. I’m supposed to have monthly eye injections because of retinal hemorrhaging. He is also one of a few retinal specialists in my area.The problem is the billing manager, Tracy, and I see other reviewers have complained about her as well. There was (is) an issue with my insurance, which I am in the process of straightening out. But how did I find out there was a problem? Tracy called me ten minutes before my appointment (I was already in the area and heading to their office) to yell and scream at me that I can’t come in until this insurance matter is resolved. What matter?? I didn’t find out until the next day because she wouldn’t stop yelling, so I hung up. I’m supposed to have monthly injections to avoid going blind (again), but it’s been months since I’ve had them because she never answers her phone and returns my messages. I have

Dr David Perlmutter and his staff have been polite, professional and helpful. They made sure that all that was necessary for me to get through various paperwork, insurance, medication and scheduling tasks to get my cataract surgery was handled. And the surgery was swift, painless and wonderfully effective. I feel like I have a new lease on life.

I recently had both of eyes done with cataract surgery. I was very nervous for the first eye- the staff was reassuring, supportive, caring and informative. My vision is now 20/20 after wearing glasses/contacts since 5th grade. I am so happy with this outcome. Dr Perlmutter is a skilled Dr.

I have been struggling with an eye condition for 15+ years and have seen specialists previously with no real help. Dr. Perlmutter can't cure my primary condition, but very quickly identified a secondary condition and the treatment is going very well. He is truly a genius!

Dr. David Perlmutter removed cataracts from both eyes and implanted a new lense. Noticed improved vision the next day after surgery. Surgery was painless and quick. Had been wearing eyeglasses for extreme nearsightedness for 56 years prior. No more. My vision is now 20-20 and the best it's ever been. Just need cheaters for reading.

I would recommend Dr. Perlmutter 100%! I had cataract surgery done in both eyes. Dr. Perlmutter did surgery on both eyes. Now vision is 20/20 and no more glasses! He and his staff are all very professional and answer any questions you may have.

The whole process was great from the beginning to the end. Before the cataract surgery Dr. "David" explained the benefits and potential side effects of the surgery clearly and precisely.
