Doctor Penner listened to me first, before explaining the next course of action even though it didn't include himself. He even went as far as making arrangements for Xrays of my elbow and writing a referral to a different specialist.

Dr Penner is a wonderful Dr. He really showed concerns . Listened to all my questions. Explained my condition. How I was feeling. Explained long term Ensure protein shake needed by RX .

Honest, not a good surgeon.
When I had gone in for my surgery my family was informed i had 6 stitches total and the wound would be quite small. Then when I had got home to clean the wound, keep in mind its on my back side where i cant see, so I have fiancee help me, and she notices there are 9 stitches total not 6, and the wound was quite larger than she was told before. When I had gone in to get my stitches removed he said he took out 3 and theres only 3 left, then I told him that there are definitely more than that and if he could check to make sure and he still stated 3, it then was to the point where my fiancee had to point out that there was 6 left and pointed each of them out. He was very disrespectful when it had came to this, and I did not feel comfortable around this surgeon. He was not treated me right, and when I would ask questions he wouldnt fully give me the answers, its like he beat around the bush. I had gotten my surgery in March 2022, and still healing currently. I still bleed from the wound to.

I really liked Dr. Penner, he listened intentionally,and explained the process and procedure carefully and in-depth. Extremely comfortable with him and the people at Dignity health.

I really appreciated the doctor's honest and responsive answers to my questions. I felt completely respected in his support for my decisions around surgery. Im chosing to try to avoid surgery, and he let me know I can always make another appointment If needed, or see him In a year If I wanted. Would definitely consider him for surgery If needed and would recommend to others

I was extremely pleased with my time with Dr. Penner, I previously had seen a surgeon who didn't take the time to sit and talk with me and listen/understand my situation and concerns. I greatly appreciated Dr. Penner's patience and his willingness to sit and discuss the situation with me as a person and not just another case to deal with.
