Dr Neuschwander is very kind and gentle. He always has an instant connection with his patients and always knows what your problem is and what to do about it. I've been going to him for 34 years for anything from spurs and rotator cuff tendinitis, a broken leg, 2 sprained ankles and now for extreme arthritis pain in my knee from arthritis. He is my number one choice for doctors. Description: Best of the Best Doctor Ever!

Lazy or no corrective action offered
Correct diagnosis of two ac joint injuries however with one that hindered me through months/multiple visits, unwilling to offer any surgery, physical therapy or even a recommendation of a brace except for I should quit my physical hobbies. Ultimately found another physician to correctly treat my injury and get me back into action.

Worse Bedside Manner
Dr. Neuschwander shows no compassion and is incapable of listening to his patients. Surprise this guy is still in business.

Not interested in helping me.
I received a very quick diagnosis of osteoarthritis, which was not what I expected. I had time to ask exactly 1 question before he was out the door, telling me I needed PT. He spent no more than 3 minutes with me and "observed" me walk 4 actual steps in the small office. He could not have been less concerned about offering additional resources or further treatment plans. I would have asked about future possible injections, recommendations on shoes and several other questions. As I was getting dressed, a tech knocked, handed me my Rx for PT without looking at me and said Happy Holidays, then disappeared. When I went into the hall, it was completely empty, with no one to ask for someone to answer my questions. I'm so disappointed and will not return. This doc was recommended to me! I try to give grace to healthcare workers since they are so overworked/understaffed but there's no excuse for this lack of interest or time spent with patients. Steer clear.

Will not return to this practice
Dr. Neuschwander was nice, but my assessment was hurried and vague. I left the office feeling like I hadn’t solved my issue. His biggest problem is his very rude and disrespectful patient coordinator Lisa. She made a couple mistakes reviewing my chart and got extremely huffy about it when I corrected her. I had to talk to her once again after and she actually hung up on me in mid conversation! She hung up on a patient! I will not be returning to this practice.

No personality and has a no care attitude. Doesn’t spend no time with patients. Less than 5 minutes is not acceptable. 2 visits doing the same is not good.

I severely tore my left meniscus training two weeks prior to going to the FBI National Academy. Doctor Neuschwander made my case a priority, expedited my MRI, scheduled and provided surgical care to my knee in a very short amount of time, allowing me the time to engage in some physical therapy to rehabilitate my knee prior to leaving for the academy. The surgery was a success and I experienced very little post-surgery swelling or fluid build up. I was able to attend and compete within the academy on schedule, including a very aggressive physical fitness component. I thought he was a tremendous asset to me in a time when I needed help to be competitive. I thank him for his compassion, skill and professionalism in understanding my unique situation. He came recommended to me from a local reputable surgeon and I would gladly recommend him in turn. He is a fine surgeon with a terrific and very helpful staff supporting him.

10 years since I've seen Dr Neuschwander,he was by far the best. Assistant Lisa helpful beyond the telling of it, and worth her weight in gold - hope she gets some extra for the holiday. Thorough, up to date, excellent, particularly gifted diagnostician. Only reason this whole experience was trouble, it spoiled me for every other medical encounter since. You get the idea everything and everyone should run like this and no one else has. Had ACL/MCL complete rupture w tibial frac

serutcip wohs Dr. Neuschwander did a rotator cuff repair on my shoulder and the surgery was not done correctly . I continued to try to explain to him that something was not right with my shoulder, only to be rushed when I had appointments. On my first appointment post surgery he lifted my arm above my head which put me in severe pain. I ask why he did that and he responded that he needed to see if I had motion. I said you did the surgery yesterday, which made no sense.

Dissatisfied in Pittsburgh pa – Jan 26, 2016
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Neuschwander?
The wait times can be a bit long, but I understand that each patient is getting his undivided attention. When it is my turn to be seen, Doc takes time to examine me and to answer any of my questions. This is my 2nd surgery with Doc and although I hope it is my last, I know that if I ever need any more reconstructive work Doc is the ONLY one I will call.
