Had not one surgery, but TWO surgeries by Dr. Mourning. So I feel I'm qualified to say Dr. Mourning is the best there is! As to be expected, I was really terrified of having surgery on my back, but I couldn't live like I was. I was in a real bad way physically and mentally. Dr. Mourning explained everything about my detailed MRI, surgery, and recovery. He was compassionate about my chronic pain tears, and my fear tears. When I had to have my second surgery, of course I was scared, but knowing I was with Dr. Mourning once again, I felt at ease knowing I will have the same respect, service and outcome. He was absolutely exceptional through the whole process of my spine care. THANK YOU for being excellent at what you do and In turn, giving me my life back!

I absolutely recommend Dr. Mourning.
I am extremely satisfied with my interactions with Dr. Mourning. When meeting with him before surgery he explained everything to me clearly, and in great detail. All questions were welcomed and answered. The surgery went well, and I can walk again!

Didn't offer options
I'm a little concerned with this doctor. My MRI showed degenerative spine disease in my neck with root compression, arthritis and a narrowing of the spinal column and neck pain. Dr. Mourning advised against surgery as I didn't have nerougolic pain down my arm. But he would only say he couldn't help me and suggested massage, chiropractic, or acupuncture for the neck pain. Turns out there are additional treatments like cortisone injections, trigger point injections, and radio-frequency ablation to name a few. And these were being offered by colleagues of his at his previously place of employment. He was fully aware of this and did not offer this as an alternative. I had to discover this on my own.

I saw Dr Mourning for severe sciatica pain. He was knowledgable, listened, and took time to explain the MRI and answer all my questions. I would recommend him. The biggest hurdle was getting an appointment in a timely manner. Before being seen, his office requires a referral and MRI which had to be requested by a primary care doctor. I'd recommend a triage line to help advise patients with severe pain until they can be seen.

After a number of false starts with other providers, Dr. Mourning saw me right away, was prepared for the visit by analyzing my records and x-rays, and made a recommendation after fully explaining exactly what needed to be done. I go by gut feel on a lot of things, and my gut is happy.

Unprofessional.. This doctor and his staff have been unreliable. He referred me to 2 of his partners - neither of whom could perform the procedure. I mistakenly believed hIm AND his staff that this was true. However, I was wrong. Neither of his partners nor ANYBODY at his firm are able or willing to perform the procedure required - even tnough they are SPECIALISTS in the area in which I was referred by my Primary MD. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN.
