I had a visit with Dr. Montes this past week. He was supposed to call me the next day to discuss some Lab results I had done. But I never heard from him. He is supposed to do surgery on my tongue. I've called their office several times but I can't anyone to answer. So I've left several voicemail messages with my phone number and requesting a call back. But I still haven't heard from anyone.

I had an appointment to have this tooth extracted. This Dr. came into the room briefly and asked which tooth was cracked. He stated, 'Well I can't see it, but I'll just pull it out.' I should have left then, but my own dentist had taken excellent xrays, and was able to show me what needed to be done and why. The nurse was very nice, and explained things as she was doing them. This Dentist came back in the room to numb my mouth. I flinched, because I wasn't expecting the pain. He said, 'If you keep moving you're going to get poked lots of times.' He came back a few minutes later and poked right by the tooth that was supposed to be extracted, and I had shooting pain up my face which caused me to jump. He then ripped off his gloves, stated 'I don't know what pain you think you're feeling. I used the regular amount of anesthetic. You're going to have to be put under.' He then walked out of the room. The nurse stated that they would reschedule me for next week. Absolutely not.

doctor performed jaw advancement. CT confirmed presence of screw in left mental foramen. 4 years of burning pain til a pain doctor got an endodontist opinion. Office scan showed metal touching mental nerve. CT confirmed screw in mental foramen area. Facial surgeon spent 5 hours removing this screw and two others Dr. Montes put in which were poking through my gums. Since the removal of the mental nerve, it has taken about one year and finally the nerve pain is diminishing. To the best of my memory, Dr. Montes stated I would have numbness, but did not tell me that a screw would be in my mental foramen (a big no no). I was diagnosed with acquired mandibular abnormality. In addition, my nose was smashed. I regret going to this doctor for surgery. This is an honest review and I am protected by the law to post it. You make your own decision. Mine would be to never go to this doctor again.

I was seen at the Speedway location. Dr Montes and the office staff were personable and explained the procedure clearly. The office seemed hectic behind the scenes, the staff rushed, and I didn't feel that all their attention was on me when they were talking to me.

Dr Montes is NOT QUALIFIED to do ANYTHING other than pulling a tooth! He has butchered My Mom & our friend Lillian causing both lifelong neuropathy and pain! My Moms cancer he told her was “cured” came back with a vengeance and she just had her face & jawbone replaced by a TEAM of doc & oncologists that work together. Montes was judge jury & executioner to Mom, Lillian and who knows how many others. Thanks IU Health for hiring this “man” and putting him in a position to make all decision alone!

From the moment i was referred to Dr. Montes he has treated me with kindness, respect and he was straightforward with me. He took the time, however long I needed, to answer questions prior to my surgery. He is a very down to earth, calming influence. The procedure went very well and so far the pisr op follow-up has been top notch. His office staff is accomodating and always willing to help in any way they can. I highly recommend Dr. Montes for his skill and bedside manner.
