Dr. David Lookner, MD

Excellent. Not the news I wanted but he was right

A 0 star rating should be created just for this man. He was dismissive, insensitive and laughed when I got upset at his attitude and behavior. His progress note was complete fabrication. In his note, he talked about sending me to a specialist but in the appointment, I was the one who suggested it, to which he said and I quote "They won't be able to do anything for you" and refused to send me anywhere. He told me to just take the medication I was prescribed for "migraines" however, upon talking to the pharmacist, they are in fact not migraine pills, nor will they help with any other symptoms I'm having. Overall bad representation of Kaiser.

I have been Dr. Lookner's patient for about ten years and have always been completely impressed with him. I am a 70+ triathlete in excellent health but often injured. He has always gone out of his way to treat injuries or order tests to investigate my concerns. For example, I am fighting fatigue as I train for an Ironman. He understood my concern and ordered blood tests to rule out health problems. Only a doctor that understands what his patient (i.e. me) is doing and wants the best outcome would order the tests rather than advising me to slow down.

Dr. Lookner is simply the best. Great listener with all of the knowledge you can ask for. Highest recommendations - and I never participate in these types of surveys or reviews.

I've been seeing David for a couple years. I like his attentiveness, good suggestions, and his excellent communication (KP allows for messaging your healthcare proffessional). And his genuine friendliness is nice touch.

It's rare to find a physician as kind and caring as Dr. Lookner. We can tell he thinks about our health challenges even during his off-hours; he has reached out to us at home to discuss possible next steps; he couldn't be more generous with his time and more committed to patient care.

Dr. Lookner has always been responsive, a great listener and patient with my questions. A wonderful primary care doctor.

Always kind . He has a calm and quiet personallity (which helps me to stay calm)! I didn't think I'd ever go to a male Doc, but I liked this guy from the start. He told me I could call him by his 1st name. How many doctors do that??!!.
