Sad
My hernia repair surgery only repaired some of my hernia and appointment after ignored the bulges and my worries about them then making discouraging comments about my mobility device I need to get around. Won't be returning here for anything.

Terrible
My mom is still fighting for her life from a umbilical hernia surgery done by dr Lippie on Jan 20th. He knicked her bowel without knowing and sent her home. She had to have a emergency surgery but not until 2 to 3 days later to look for the problem. She has a long incision on her belly where he went in looking for the problem. I would not recommend this dr. She has had nothing but complications after complications after all of this. Find yourself a great dr to do your surgery.

Rude doctor
When my daughter went to see him today, he spent maybe a total of 10 minutes with her and said that she needs to loose weight before a hernia surgery. Never did any scans or anything. My daughter and I are very upset the way the doctor handled the situation . Poor manners.

complete confidence
I have seen Dr. Lippie for 2 surgeries: gallbladder and a re-sectioning of the small intestine. He knows what he is doing. I would request him if I ever have to go for surgery again at Lutheran. He came highly recommended to me from a friend who also is an MD, and I would recommend him to anyone facing abdominal surgery.

He removed a large enflamed cyst from my neck in his office. Spent less than 5 min with me in the ofc prior to the surgery. I screamed for an hour while he did the surgery in the office. Sent home with no pain meds. Next day left several msgs w/ ofc for some pain meds. Only called back after my fam dr contacted them. He told my husband & I it should have been inpatient w/ anesthesia. Post op appt he was apathetic & rushed; never even sat down until I described symptoms of ptsd from it.

Dr. Lippe saved my life when I had a perforated colon with severe peritonitis. 3 years later, he saved my daughter's life when her gallbladder failed. She was sent home from a hospital emergency room, still in severe pain. We immediately called Dr. Lippe, who saw her immediately, and operated an hour later. Her gallbladder was decaying in her body.
