It's been 4 years since Dr. levinsohn performed bilateral, total replacement of my knees and I am extremely pleased with the situation. He is a caring and personable Dr., with a no-nonsense approach to his work. I was very fortunate to be a patient and recommend him with complete confidence.

My last three visits with Dr. Levinsohn involved a shot of cortisone in my knee. My last visit was in June 2020. After the third shot the doctor asked me to call and schedule an appt if the last shot did not help so we could start the paperwork process for knee replacement. I called today, August 2020, and found out the he has left the practice and moved back East. I did not receive a letter informing of the change or a referred doctor to take over my treatment. How do you just leave with no mention of referral?

He is a great ORTHOPAEDIC Doctor. I had my total knee replacement on my right knee on February 2, 2020. He explained well about the procedure, showed me the device to use for my knee. He explained to me the recovery process. Dr LEVINSOHN provided his personal cellphone number to his patients who underwent surgery to call him in case of emergency. I am better now. My right knee is stronger than before. I highly recommend Dr Levinsohn.

Dr. Levinsohn fixed my knee. Plain & Simple he professionally and efficiently solved my pain and overall issue. His staff is organized and friendly. They answered my phone calls which is So helpful. The Dr. is most knowledagble. The day of surgery everything went smoothly and calmly. The follow up appointment allowed me to fully understand the recovery process and how to get to the next stage of healing. GREAT practice!

The saying "you are a life saver" is used in regards to a friend that gave you a helping hand. But for me, Dr. David Levinsohn is a true lifesaver. I was faced with a very scary infection in December and was told I was 48 hours from death had Dr. Levinsohn not intervened. I have many doctors, nurses, personnel to thank from Sharp but Dr. Levinsohn took the lead on what eventually saved my life. He is compassionate, caring, kind and very lucky for me, knowledgeable. It's an honor to call him a friend. For any and all in search of an orthopedic surgeon, I can tell you that Dr. Levinsohn should hands down be your choice.

Dr Levensohn was an incredible Surgen, from the time I met him he explained the process of my operation from start to finish, Did not push me to have the procedure done. Explained all my options. I left with no pain and feeling better than ever. I would highly recommend Dr Levensohn

He made the pain go away. My hip was pretty much frozen and the pain was terrible. Even simple movement in bed, caused sharp stabbing pain. I feel lucky the Sharp system brought me to Dr. Levinsohn, because he quickly started making things better. He and his team were sympathetic and understanding, which helped put me at ease. They listened and truly cared about helping me through this. They helped me feel hopeful that there could be an end to the pain. And soon enough, after the hip replacement was in, the pain was gone. There were the normal aches of recovering from surgery, but those faded in a matter of days. I have my life back. I am forever grateful to Dr. Levinsohn, and all of the wonderful people at Sharp.

I have been a patient of Dr. Levinsohn's for a number of years, and if I could give him 10+ stars, I certainly would. He is one of those rare, all so rare, doctors that absolutely puts the patient first. He is extremely caring, incredibly knowledgeable, and has an amazing bedside manner. Can you really have a "good" time talking about possible knee replacements? Well yes, you can, with him. Go figure, right? His office staff, Rachel making appointments (and, thank you, dear girl for getting me in to see the doctor as soon as you possibly could),Gen at the front, and Celene, the examining room assistant, are all kind, considerate, and helpful. The best "doctor" experience I have ever had. God bless you all. Patti S.

Dr. Levinsohn is an amazing surgeon. He has performed surgery on both of my knees and, most recently, on my left shoulder. Dr. Levinsohn understands how important it is for the patient to understand their medical issues, treatment options, and risks and he takes the necessary time to answer my questions. He dictates his notes for my file before I leave his exam room giving me the opportunity to hear and verify that his notes are accurate to what we discussed. I have respect and trust for Doctor Levinsohn.

At 63 I had to finally give in to having a total knee replacement. My primary MD sent me to Dr. Levinsohn and I'm so glad I was able to be in his very capable hands. He is not a "touchy, feely" type of guy. He doesn't mince words, tells you what to expect and doesn't sugarcoat anything. He gives 100% and expects you to do the same. Plan to go back to him when my other knee requires intervention.C

What a great team in Dr Levinsohn’s office! It starts with the leader and Dr. Levinsohn definitely provided tremendous support and did a full knee replacement for me where Osteoarthritis had taken hold and kept me in pain 24/7. Here I am 7 weeks later in recovery mode and making great progress. Thanks again!!

Dr. Levinsohn provided excellent medical care and recommendations throughout my total hip replacement journey. Conservative care started with Outpatient Physical Therapy, next was a Cortisone injection and after 13 months a total hip replacement was needed. Surgery was performed at Sharp Memorial and was highly successful! Dr. Levinsohn is the BEST!

I believe it is very important to have a doctor you trust and respect. Dr. Levinsohn is that individual. I have been a patient for over five years. In 2014 he performed a successful right hip replacement. I was up and walking around pain free in hours! This year I was having difficulty straightening my left middle finger. The doctor suggested a trigger finger release procedure and within a week the finger was functioning properly. I know when I seek Dr. Levinsohn’s advise that I am going to get the best experienced suggestions for a remedy. I unequivocally recommend him for any orthopedic treatment which he specializes.

I’m 74 years old, had a complete tear to my left rotator cuff. Dr. Levinsohn did the surgical repair in February and after 4 months I’m feeling very good about the repair. I’ve had very little pain and with physical physical therapy the past 2 months have almost all of my range of motion back. Dr, Levinsohn is an excellent surgeon and has a very calming and reassuring manner.

Dr. Levinsohn is a skilled surgeon that has a terrific bedside manner. I went to him because of his excellent recommendations from other healthcare professionals. I had a left total knee replacement in November 2018, and a right total knee in March. His skill and bedside manner was unparalleled. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. Dr Levinsohn is so concerned about his patients he even gives them his personal cell phone so that they can text him if they have any concerns. Thanks to Dr. Levinsohn I can return to my job as an RN without pain after a 12 hour shift. Thank you Dr. Levinsohn

Dr. David Levinsohn Absolutely remarkable hip replacement surgery result! I’ve had a complete pain free recovery to full “normal” within 3 weeks of surgery! Pre surgery, I developed a limp and had to substantially limit my walking and abandon activities such as golf. Dr. Levinsohn’s surgical skill and professionalism gave me back full pain free mobility… he gave me back the ability to resume the activities that are important to the quality of my life! Thank you Dr. Levinsohn - John Wilks

Dr. Levinsohn gave me my life back! After years of dead ends with Kaiser, Dr. Levinson took care of me immediately. He said I was a perfect candidate for hip replacement. After years of walking with a horrible limp, and not being able to run, Thanks to Dr. Levinson my health and my walking are 100%. My wife and I cried after surgery was done. My physical therapy program was perfect. I’m 63 years old and I feel like I’m 21! Thank you Dr. Levinsohn. You’re my Saint my Angel and my HERO! James M
