Dr. Kurtz is a brilliant surgeon. He’s operated on me in emergency situations 3X. His bedside manner is quirky but under that seemingly cool exterior lies a man with a wry sense of humor who cares, follows up diligently, answers questions, and is whipsmart.

I have seen Dr. Kurtz several times for hemorrhoid banding and the results have been excellent. The minimal pain caused by the procedure subsides quickly and within 24 hours I feel great. My referral to him was a God send in terms of relieving my pain.

I wish I could give 0 stars. My mom had her gallbladder removed by this doctor--an in-and-out procedure ended up keeping her in the hospital for 10 days. He yelled at her when she said she was still in pain. Another doctor at the hospital finally talked him in to doing a CAT scan which found the abcess causing all the pain. He spent less than 1 minute each time he visited, and actually talked with my mother while she was sitting on the toilet--he would not wait one minute so she could get up.
