Hip Labral Repair - Good experience
Overall, King did well on my hip labral repair surgery. battled w hip pain for a long time & before surgery, had a few appointments w him & received MRI in office. result-Labral tears then started PT for a few weeks. Had a friend do the surgery from him and good results so i scheduled surgery. Went well but recovery was tough - PT plan was set for athletes which is great. completed the PT (3-4 months), but did not keep going after& tried to keep up w PT. I wish i would have continued for the next few months at a private PT place. I have been active since- I am back to playing vball and lifting. I run occasionally & if i do intense workout classes my hip starts to hurt.. Overall during my post op appt, i felt confused & frustrated at times w King &Scott the PA. they contradicted themselves and I would hear diff info. Scott told me i could do things then King said contradicting info. Its been about 1.5 to 3 years since. I would recommend but make sure you talk with king..

10 stars
I saw Dr. King and his staff for an injury that resulted in a labrum tear and a torn glute tendon. I wish I could give him, and every member of that office and surgery center, 10 stars. I appreciate the courteous people at the front desk. I appreciate being seen on time. I appreciate the time Dr. King and his asst., Scott, took explaining my injury, the surgery they proposed to fix both injuries, and the recovery. It was good to be able to get evaluated, treated, and have surgery at the same center. My surgery and recovery went exactly as Dr. King outlined to me beforehand. Dr. King, or a member of his staff, called each day for 3 days after the surgery to follow up. Absolutely stellar care from start to finish. Thank you, sincerely, to every member of the staff.

Dr. King did my ACL reconstruction about 4 years ago and I retore the graft 6 months later, even though I did my physical therapy consistently and didn't return to any high risk activity. When I went back to see him and he confirmed I retore it, he was extremely rude and told me he wouldn't operate on me again because I was too immature and would just tear it again. If he was to operate again, he said he wouldn't do it until at least another 6 months had passed. I stopped seeing him and went to Dr. Matava, who was very kind and professional. The second surgery was a month later and Matava said that he was surprised I could even walk at all, and that it would have been very bad had I kept walking on my retorn ACL for any longer, much less another 6 months. Now, 4 years later, I had a sports injury, and while both of my knees were twisted, my graft done by Matava survived, but I tore my ACL on my previously unoperated knee. I saw Matava again for now my third ACL surgery, my second with

Arrogant, egotistical, refuses to be wrong (even if he is), and did not take any of my concerns seriously which left me with chronic pain for 3 years. Ultimately, I had to get a new doctor who ended up having to redo my hip surgery and correct problems that doctor King completely missed. New doc said that it looked like my hip had never been scoped before (Dr King "did" scope it though). Him and his PA Scott don't actually care about their patients unless said patient can help them climb the social ladder.

Excellent. I had a total hip replacement done in 2013, knowing the other would be necessary before long. Monitoring the situation and injections got me another 6 years before the second surgery was done. I have recommended Dr. King to others who share my opinion!

At the beginning of my treatment, Dr. King seemed to really care. He was able to diagnose my labral tear and did surgery within three weeks. However, I have hip dysplasia which he never addressed. As a result, I felt better early on after the surgery, but got worse. Upon complaining about getting worse he really lost interest in my case fast. He and his PA were never on the same page with my treatment and, at my last appointment, he just brushed me off. More surgery with a different doc coming.

Dr. King is the best surgeon I have ever encountered. He was so personable and real with me through my first surgery. I am a dancer and was highly nervous about having a hip labrum repair surgery, but I was back to dance remarkably fast and with no pain. In the near future I will need my other hip repaired, and I will absolutely be returning to Dr. King. Such a good experience and wouldn't go to anyone else. Thanks Dr. King!
