Dr. David Kateb, MD

My last visit with Dr. Kateb took a personal phone call and stated to who ever that was he would be home in 45 minutes. First, that was completely unprofessional. Second, I was rushed and he did not listen to me, restated what he thought I said incorrectly, and still didn't acknowledge when I corrected him. I felt unheard. He did not clearly explain results of my tests, even when I asked. You can't get through to his office. They leave you on hold and do not come back to you. My first visit I was seen by a nurse practitioner when I clearly stated my appointment was with Kateb, a pulmonologist. My 2nd visit they tried to do the same, I flatly refused to the nurse practioner. I went to help with pulmonary issues. I will not be returning.

Absolutely the worst place ever Made an appointment to see the main doctor 1 PM on Thursday I get there and it 1 PM on Thursday someone comes in stating they have an interview with him that could go for hours so guess what I’m not going to see the doctor besides the staff being so rude I am now told him I could see the nurse practitioner I didn’t pay to see a nurse practitioner I pay to see a doctor

Doctor’s response to my prior review is a blatant lie. He IS our primary provider. We finally got the letter in question from him, but had to jump through all kinds of hoops to get it. The office staff is problematic, with frequent turnover, poor attitude and, currently, a young phlebotomist who seems unable to draw blood from our arms. Too bad, again, because we have no issue with the doctor himself.

I would not recommend this doctor. I went to him to do a sleep study which he sent me to Delray Medical Center. It took him 43 days to send me the results in an email even though Delray kept calling him to go read the results sooner. I had appointment in office to go 30 days after test and I went to office, no doctor and Gaby the nurse practitioner was called away in an emergency. I walked in office and 3 people were sitting behind desk talking among themselves. I asked why they never called to cancel my appointment and was told they would have even though my appointment was earlier in the morning. I don't know the type of people he treats but I have never been treated so poorly from any doctor as this. His staff needs to be retrained on how to run an office. I have never even seen the doctor only Gaby who was pleasant. How is this man in business???? Maybe it is time to retire!!!!! One star rating is too much.

Dr. Kateb was my primary. I called to make an appointment because I was having heartburn and chest pains! The appointment was a few days later. Walked in and the receptionist asked if I had an appointment. This was not my first time there. She told me to sign in and have a seat. 45 minutes later, I asked why it was taking so long. And why 3 others patients went in before me (one seemed to be a friend of her’s). She said the doctor was delayed at the hospital. I said, you tell me this now after 45 minutes?! After continuing to wait, I said I have had enough waiting and walked out! No REAL doctor or office would let a patient with chest pains wait for 45 minutes! I also filed a complaint with United Healthcare insurance! I also noticed a sign on the street that said, “Corona-19 testing,” and heard the receptionist make it clear to patients that it was ‘$50 and medical insurance did not pay for it.‘ Interesting!

Office staff is very incompetent..not following through...not answering call...Very poor experience causing me more problems with my health and care...I do NOT recommend this dr

Dr Kateb always spends enough time with me and listens to my concerns. I like his conservative approach. I highly recommend him as an internist.

The staff was very helpful and willing to help and the Doctor was impressive. Highly recommended.

I like this office a lot, the ladies on the front desk are very nice and professional and the doctor is good, professional, and knows what he is talking about. He will keep getting my business and I will send everyone I know to him and his office.

I was referred to Dr. Kateb by a friend of mine and I must say as a first-time patient I was very glad I chose him as a medical professional . He is very knowledgeable and diagnosed my problem right away; and took the time to answer any and all of my questions. Like wise his office staff was very helpful and friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. If you are in need a highly qualified doctor and not sure who to go to, I highly recommend Dr. Kateb.

First of all, they are only open 1 day a week. Very inconvenient office hours. I was a first time patient. The front desk receptionist was very friendly. The waiting room was an hour wait, the exam room was an additional 30 minute wait. We had to change exam rooms and the nurse snapped the unused paper off the table to go to another room. The act was so sharp I asked if I made her mad. The doc info to me about needed rx was so minimal I had to research myself! The check-out woman “cash only” was rude. I stood there for a good 45 seconds+ with cash on the counter while she was biding her time with whatever, never looking up at me till I walked out never getting a receipt.

Dr Kateb was AMAZING with my mom. Extremely patient, and awesome bedside manner. Everyone in the office is super nice. I cant thank Dr Kateb and his staff for their kindness to my family

No wait professional

I came to the office as a new patient and couldn’t believe what I saw. First I would like to say the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. There was work being done on the office and to my daughter and I it looked nice. However, the doctor walked to the front of the office into the waiting area and was screaming and slamming stuff at someone who was putting up the tv. Not only did he yell and slam stuff but then he started to yell at his staff and throw everything on the counter on the front desk. I couldn’t believe what I had seen it was disgusting the way he was acting and treating other I am warning all my friends not to step foot in this office.

Dr. Is hindered by a woefully inadequate office staff. No prompt greeting and unprepared for my visit. Every patient in the office during my 90 Minuit wait left angry. No worth the waste of time. Sad because he’s a good Dr.

Such a caring doctor and a life savor. My mother had asthmatic bronchitis. She was mistreated by 2 other doctors. We were just about to give up until we've met Doctor Kateb who literally saved her. Bless you Doctor Kateb

Read the reviews on Dr Katab. I have been a patient of his for a long time and he is very compassionate. He is always there for me when i needed him and listens to any of my concerns. I would highly recommend him. He is a great doctor.
