Wonderful trauma surgeon.
Dr. Kaehr is an excellent trauma surgeon. I broke my femur and ankle and he had to insert rods and plates. Dr. Kaehr put me back together. He also explains the healing process in a way you would understand. I trust Dr. Kaehr.

Accidental Elbow Damage
My first visit and contact was in the ER at Methodist Hospital in 1997. After dropping a loaded hand gun causing it to fire, I was taken to Methodist Hospital ER in Indianapolis. I remember being introduced to Dr. Kaehr and after a brief conversation, feeling secure in his knowledge of the injury, I was taken to surgery for my right elbow. He was reassuring, confident and very gentle. I remember feeling safe being in his care. He made no promises as to the future use of my arm, but addressed the situation at hand. He has an outstanding way of making a person feel his knowledge and expertise just by his demeanor. Thinking that I had completely ruined future use of my right arm, he was quick to address the situation at hand and willing to talk about the future use of my arm after the surgery. I would highly recommend him.

I was an emergency / trauma patient of Dr. Kaehr's. I had shattered my knee and ankle from a fall. I now have 5 plates and approximately 30 screws in my leg and a significant amount of bone graft material in my knee. I was told it would be 12 weeks before I could put weight on that leg. I have made it 10 weeks and waiting for my next appointment. It almost feels like a graduation of sorts. Praying for the best outcome possible. Without Dr David Kaehr it would not have become a reality.
