Dr. J took his time to understand all of our concerns. He listened to my son as he explained what happened, he made sure not only we, as his parents, but that our son understood his findings and expectations in order to heal properly. Highly recommend.

The entire staff was outstanding. I was in the waiting room less than 5 min. After taken to exam room an x-ray tech promptly took x-rays. Dr Joe greeted me promptly . Asked questions, listened to my concerns & complaints. Did a thorough exam, reviewed my exrays with me, explained my treatment options and all in lay terms that were clear to me. And made treatment decisions that were in my best interest. He took his time and showed interest in helping me heal. I have only been in this area less than 2 months. I did not know who to choose for my care. I am extremely grateful to have found this practice.

From the moment I made the appointment to leaving the office, the staff was professional, prompt, knowledgeable, and pleasant. I would highly recommend them to others.

First time seeing this doctor From this group . Have seen others from here. Would only use Low Country Orthopedics. Don’t need second opinion, Dr Jo was reassuring that I will be in excellent hands for my upcoming surgery.

As a recently retired physician, I knew what needed to be done, and was very pleased that he took an excellent history. Did a thorough complete exam went over it with me. We reviewed the x-rays together, and I received a posterior shoulder injection, which gave me almost immediate relief of the pain. He was very professional, polite, and has been super quick to get the MRI scheduled and to respond to questions that I have sent through the portal. I would highly recommend him, and as a matter of fact, he is also traded and injected my wife’s knee .

This is my initial visit to Dr. Johannesmeyer and Lowcountry Ortho. I got most of my registration completed before the visit through their website so I had very little paperwork to do once I got there. That’s a nice option to have. Everybody I encountered was very nice and thorough and made my experience better. Dr. “Jo” was cordial, very thorough, and answered all of my questions, and I had a lot of them. Not a hurried experience and no pressure to proceed with any of the options I was presented. I highly recommend Dr. Johannesmeyer and his practice at Lowcountry Orthopedics.

Definitely in it for the employers insurance company and not the injured. Very short and rudely mannered.

After I broke my patella, I went to another orthopedic doctor, but he didn’t listen to my questions or acknowledge my concerns. I switched to Dr. Johannesmeyer, and I was so happy that I did. He was professional, articulate, and clear, but he was also sensitive and caring. I felt that he listened to me, and that made a huge difference. When I left our first meeting, I already felt reassured. He gave me a clear picture of how much progress I had made and what was to come. He recommended actions that were tailored to my specific situation. And he followed up with me almost immediately. He is an outstanding doctor, and if you are hurting and need help, I urge you to get in touch with him.

Dr. Johannesmeyer was awesome. He listened to me. He explained my treatment options (Right Knee) and we came up with a treatment plan. Super smart and that’s what you want. BTW. He also fit me into his schedule. I called that morning and I was at his office in an hour. The entire staff was awesome as well. Highly recommended. The best! Thank you sir!

Saw Dr Johannesmeyer yesterday was very pleased with him. He didn't treat me like a crazy old lady showed me my X-Rays. Gave me a steroid shot I was really hoping it would work longer than a day but also ordered P.T.

I severely broke my left femur and was very fortunate that Dr. Johannesmeyer was the surgeon to perform my surgery. I have seen him a few more times, and will see him again for post-op checkups. I have been treated extremely well by the doctor, receptionist, ex ray technician and the billing department. I haven’t had any trouble getting an appointment at my convenience. I have never waited more than a few minutes to get taken back and seen by the doctor. Because of his great skills in this surgery and amazing knowledge I went from using a wheelchair, to a walker and then a cane for a short time, in a much shorter time frame then I had hoped for. My family and friends were so impressed and I KNOW I would not have been able to accomplish that without his help. If you need to see an orthopedic practice please consider this group! You will not regret it.

Disappointed. He was nice but not a thorough doctor. People go to a specialist for a reason! He took normal x Rays of my hips and said he didn’t see anything wrong except bursitis and offered a shot for pain control. I went to another doctor for 2nd opinion and thank god! Had frog leg position x Rays and showed bilateral hip impingement, had MRA & showed huge labral tear in my hip with cam & pincer impingements. My left hip surgery is scheduled in April!
