Not great when I actually needed help
I would go for my annual checkup and my numbers looked mostly fine. For years that was all I needed from a PCP.When I actually needed a partner in trying to figure out what's wrong with me and improving my quality of life he's not your guy. Dr. Hug doesn't really listen very well. IDK I don't think my health concerns were taken very seriously. 'CBC is fine? Well there's nothing else I can do.' was essentially how it seemed.

This review is for the doctor that filled in for Dr. Hug in July of 2021. I tested positive for Covid and called Dr. Hug. He was not in the office and a female doctor called back. I asked what type of therapeutics were available for Covid. The doctor told me there were no therapeutics and that I could have Remdesivir at the hospital if I was sick enough to need hospitalization. She recommended nothing else: no vitamins, no z pack, no nasal spray, no steroids, etc. As I checked with other friends that had Covid I learned that there were various therapeutics which might have helped with symptoms. Her attitude was horrible - my wife (who also had Covid) was shocked by her dismissive tone when I brought up the possibility of therapeutics. I will never go back to Dr. Hug - he is only as good as the supporting doctors he surrounds himself with.

I have been seeing Doctor Hug for a long time on a recommendation from a registered nurse. The last couple of years I have had the opportunity to visit his office more often as we work on health issues. He always takes the time to evaluate information and make recommendations. Today I seen this first hand, Doctor Hug his Staff and Practice Manager all are striving to maintain an excellent experience and lead the way for other doctors offices to follow. Its just a normal day for them as they continue to take care of their patients.

Dr David Hug saved my husband’s life by diagnosing a heart attack, when we thought he had a bad cold, meaning he had no other “normal” symptoms. We immediately went to the closest hospital, Henry Ford West Bloomfield where he was treated immediately. What more can one say, if Dr Hug hadn’t given that cardiogram instantaneously, my husband would not be alive and well
