Inadequate Care for Reproductive Health
I recently went through the terrifying experience of having an abnormal pregnancy that could have led to life-threatening complications. I went to the MH ED at my OBGYN's direction to address this medical emergency, and Dr. Hsu was the physician in the ED. Dr. Hsu was disrespectful, interrogative, and unprofessional. He questioned me in a demeaning tone about why I was there, and repetitively insisted that I interpret my own test results, when his job as my physician was to do that. Ultimately, Dr. Hsu refused to even say out loud the complication that had landed me in the ED, and refused to discuss any treatment options. It was very clear to me that he was unwilling or incapable of discussing the issue at hand due to limitations in Texas. Ultimately, Dr. Hsu did not provide adequate care for my medical emergency, and I had to seek care elsewhere. Dr. Hsu is a danger to women and does not demonstrate the ability to provide proper care for women's health and reproductive emergencies.

Although the other reviews are not recent, I must note that I experienced completely the opposite 3 months ago! I couldn’t ask for a better emergency doctor. He had great manners and even did some extra testing to reassure me. He cared and his nurse was also phenomenal!

Horrible bedside manners! Has no social skills and kept complaining as to why I was in the emergency room when my dentist informed me to go ASAP due to an abcessed tooth. You could barely see my jaw line. I was in pain from Friday until Monday, and unable to keep food down. I spent a copay of $450 for nothing! He didn't give me anything for the pain, which was excruciating and nothing for the nausea. I ended up calling a specialist who worked me in. He also wouldn't write a prescription for me.
