This is more about the support staff of the Gastroenterology Center of Connecticut. With the exception or one or two employees, the staff behaves abominably. They are rude, disrespectful, completely inconsiderate, and totally lacking in compassion. They should remember that they are working with sick people and their relatives. They don't return phone calls and clearly couldn't care less about people waiting for them to respond to any requests. It is a shame because the majority of the doctors at the practice are pleasant human beings. In their profession, why on earth don't they hire some pleasant and sympathetic assistants? Some of those who work in the Endoscopy Department are exceptionally rude, unsympathetic and unkind.

The absolute best of the best as I've said for years! Dr. Hass is brilliant, and he is also a caring, dedicated doctor. I trust my health and my life in his care, and I thank him for keeping me healthy, keeping my common condition managed, as once upon a time was highly problematic for me, for his appreciated outstanding patient rapport, for making a superlative difference to lives and to health every day, and for being there for his patients. I can always get an appointment and a call back if in need, and Dr. Hass has personally come to the hospital to check on me after a procedure or when I was told to go to the hospital. Thanks Dr. Hass! Health care professionals are very necessary, and make a significant difference!

I was a patient for roughly 4 years. I left because I essentially needed to do my own research, as my GI symptoms seemed to worsen. I eventually switched to a competent doctor who performed a colonoscopy and discovered and biopsied a 4 cm tumor, of which I’m awaiting the results. I’ve had other GI issues, all of which Dr. Hass was unable to address. He’s a genuinely nice man and probably would be competent if he had a smaller caseload. But I don’t see doctors expecting to do research they should be doing...

I recently moved and wanted to find a GI with excellent bedside manner, intelligence and background. I also have doctors in my family and it is critically important, for me, to find quality medical care. Dr. Hass is one of the best doctors that I have had In CT, and he wasn't even referred by friends or family! I want to make sure that his Milford office gets noticed because his staff was attentive. His nurse, Vicky, was wonderful! I live in close proximity to Milford and they were all great!

Dr. Hass is a very good communicator. He listens closely to what I tell him and follows up with questions and explanations. He is always very concerned. I have more trust in him than any other doctor that I see. Beyond his great professional skills, he is very personable as well. All around he gets 5 stars from me.

was having major pain across abdomin was giving instructions but pain increased...called and was advised that it was probably just some GERD. Not happy with advice, I had my husband rush me to hospital were it was found that I had Pancreatitis!!! ER Dr. Was very concerned as to how this condition was overlooked! Spent 2 weeks in hospital and will never recommend or see this Dr. Again!! He is to laid back and does not follow up

My wife sees Dr.Haas and receives Remicade infusions for Crohns Disease. She is a wreck in the morning and when under stress. She is very fond of Dr.Haas but also doesn't speak up.I feel after all the years on Remicade she should be given Humira or an alternative. At the very least to try it.Her name is Kathy,I am Ken and also see the doctors there.I hope Dr.Haas reads this since he has no email address.I will try to talk to him when I can.I think he's a good doctor but narrow minded.
