Talus replacement:
I'm from a small town on the western slope and was facing a foot amputation from a fall, traveled to Denver and Dr. Hahn scheduled and performed a talus replacement, which saved my foot and gave me my mobility and normal life back. His care for me was first-rate, I cannot say enough good about him.

Disappointing
My apologies that this review is a little late. Based on some of the amazing patient reviews, I traveled from CA to see Dr. Hahn in January 2019. I had several failed forefoot surgeries by other doctors, including the amputation of my second toe, and saw him to evaluate a potential amputation. I am in my 40s, a former runner, otherwise healthy. Dr. Hahn saw me for about 15 minutes, instructed me to get a second opinion in CA, told me he would provide a referral in CA, and that he and I would "talk by phone" after I went home. Upon returning to CA and trying to reach him for for several days, I received a call from his assistant stating that all the specialists he would have referred me to were "retired" and that he could not take my case. He basically ghosted me. I would have gladly traveled out to CO again if he could help me. Disappointing, to say the least. He may have been the caring physician who went above and beyond to other patients, but he sure wasn't for me.

My condition was that after an ankle fusion the site was infected for up to six months before discovery. Everyone else told me that the only solution is amputation. Dr. Hahn ordered a CT scan and determined that my ankle could be saved. After removing the hardware and de-breeding the infected bone and six weeks of IV antibiotics, I came out of it with my foot.

I was a patient of Dr. Hahn in 2014. After several surgeries in Pueblo, I was told I needed additional surgeries and was told I needed to go to Colorado Limb Consultants. After reviewing my case and a CAT scan, Dr. Hahn informed me that I had a non-union and a possible bone infection. Dr. Hahn adjusted his schedule and got me into surgery in 3 days. He placed a Taylor Spatial Fixator on my left Tib/Fib. After removing all of the infected bone and several more surgeries I am now able to anything and everything that I was able to do before my accident. With his knowledge and the high quality of care from Dr. Hahn and the staff at Colorado Limb Consultants I'm sure my lifestyle and activity level would be much different today. I'm sure that Dr. Hahn is one of the best Orthopedic Doctor in the nation. I'm thankful everyday that I was referred to him.

No one in the state would touch the hole in my ankle. It was too large for anyone to fix. Dr. Hahn allowed me to run again. I was so bad that I started limping and now I can run 8-9 miles with no pain. He gave me 20 more years before I'll have to have it fixed again. I am so thankful that he did surgery on me. It took over a year to find a doctor that would say yes to helping me. No one was skilled enough to do it, but dr. Hahn was (so that shows his expertise). I have scar tissue that still hurts at time but doesn't prevent me for working out and scar tissue is normal in such a large surgery. Amazing doctor, without him I would have lost my youth.

Dr. Hahn provided a candid, compassionate assessment of my badly damaged foot and talked me through alternatives. He was on-time, thorough, and kind with a sense of humor. For complex foot and ankle ortho issues, I think he is "the man."

I was referred to Dr., Hahn to be evaluated for a surgical procedure. After a thorough examination, he determined surgery was not a viable answer to my current problem. His decision was later borne out in a positive result that did not require surgery. I was highly impressed by the time he took on his examination, and I also very much appreciated his explanation of the risks and expected impact the surgery could have on my recovery. It turned out that he was 100 percent correct in his decision not to advise surgery at that time. My opinion of this surgeon is very high.

He treated me like I did not know what I was talking about. I would never recommend him or his associates. I have been proven right by others in his field. When a patient say they have pain you should believe them not blow them off as if they were making it all up.

r. Hahn has been the nicest, most caring, and most down to earth doctor I think I’ve ever met. I went through a very major and painful surgery and even through that he has made sure to make me laugh from day one walking into his office. I feel comfortable and taken care of every time I see him! I will keep going to him moving forward!! Thanks Dr. Hahn!!
