I tried to make an appointment but the call was never picked up. I call a second time and a very pleasant lady answered the phone. I requested to make an appointment with dr Gutman who longer works there and she was kind enough to provide me with the other doctors names so I can research their qualifications. I looking for a gastro doctor and I found dr Gutman and called. To my surprise, the doctor is still listed on the web site but he no longer works there for a year or so......... I will take the information the young lady gave me and research on the doctor's background first before making an appt.
you should really update your website and have the correct information.

Office DOES NOT return calls. Le t several messages over a 2 week period, to get my medical records and no response. I guess i will have to take a day off work and show up and demand my records.

Dr Gutman is an excellent doctor! He is a genuine good person, he goes above & beyond to help in any way. He explains everything in great detail & answers any & all questions you may have. I have known Dr Gutman for at least 20 years. I used to work with him, he treats everyone one with respect & kindness. I did not become his patient until I moved to NC a number of years ago. I have followed him to a number of offices. He is the only gastro doctor I will see & is worth the trip back to L.I.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gutman for over 20 years and have recommended him to other family members . I have found that he takes his time and listens to his patients. His diagnoses are very accurate after comprehensive testing . When discussing my health condition , I find him to be informed of recent medical literature which he takes the opportunity to share with me.
I recommend Dr. Gutman to anyone who is seeking excellent medical care.

Dr. Gutman is thorough and compassionate. I will try to follow him where ever his practice may be. I just wish he would schedule less patients so I didn't have to wait so long to get great care. There are only three doctors I would wait to see - Dr. Gutman is one of them.

Dr. Gutman is my favorite physician. He has changed practices a few times in his career and I have followed him every time. He is very approachable, courteous, extremely thorough and a leader in his field. He genuinely cares about his patients and spends the necessary time - never rushing you to see the next patient. DR Gutman, out of all the physicians that I see regularly, is the most thorough, knowledgable doctor that I have. He asks me questions based on his examination, and has a way of getting to the heart of my medical condition and well being. He recently suggested that I undergo a sleep study, and it turns out that I have severe OSA, for which I am in the process of getting treated for. I am eternally grateful for his astute diagnosis of the probable cause of several health issues that I have.

Dr gutman spends a lot of time with you. He explains your conditions and treatment. The BIG PROBLEM is trying to contact home when you find have an appointment . He doesn't return your phone call for days. I have a question about my prescription and I haven't filled it in over two weeks because I haven't been able to contact him

I was referred to Dr. Gutman by Karen S. with rave reviews. After visiting two gastroenterologists (one by the way, told me I was an enigma!) and one rheum. I was completely frustrated and couldn't find anyone who would take the time to figure out my case and give me the appropriate care needed.
Dr. Gutman is a sincere, kind and excellent physician who addresses the whole medical picture.
Presently, I'm on a medical plan (which he started me with) and I'm feeling well again! 10* to Dr. Gutman

I am 71 years old. Suffice it to say, I have seen many, many doctors in my lifetime. Dr. Gutman stands right at the top.
He has ALWAYS completely answered all my questions. I have never felt that I was being patronized. He has NEVER, EVER, rushed me out of his office; never gave me the impression that I was wasting his time with unnecessary questions. He always makes sure that I understand everything that we've discussed before I leave.
He has my trust. He's just the best.

The most caring, knowledgeable doctor I have ever met.I have been seeing him for over 30 years, and have trusted him completely with the care and recommendations he has provided to me. Although sometimes difficult to get an emergency appointment through the office staff, Dr. Gutman always responds quickly when an urgent matter is brought to his attention. I do highly recommend him.
