Dr. David Grunkemeier, MD

Excellent doctor.

I have a history of a rare disease that puts me at very high risk for a number of gastroenterology-related conditions and diseases. Dr. Grunkemeier was not only aware of my rare disease, but he knew how to approach long-term monitoring and testing. In addition, he has a holistic lens and approach. Lifestyle changes are now an important part of my long-term view and approach. I am not waiting around for these diseases to emerge, rather we are actively on the offensive. Dont ask me how, but this patient has a plank-game now. 90 seconds and holding! Further, and most importantly, I spend I a lot of time in doctors offices and it gets to be exhausting. Dr. Grunkemeier is always someone I am happy to see and talk with. He makes me feel he has the time for me and he answers my all my questions.

He has been treating me since 2007 with regular upper endoscopies and colonoscopies, and I have the utmost confidence in his knowledge and level of care. This was my first visit with Dr. Grunkmeier. He listened very carefully to every word that I said and did not make any notes when talking to me. When I looked at my post-visit notes, I was amazed that he had captured every minute detail.

My PCP was able to work me into Dr. Grunkemeier's schedule with a four day's notice after becoming alarmed over a CT scan. I was seen by Dr. Grunkemeier inside forty-five minutes after arriving in his office and he explained what was needed going forward. The procedures were scheduled and completed. This all happened over three weeks.

I’ve had three procedures from Dr. Grunkemeier at the Oregon clinic. Each time, I felt well informed going into and after the procedure. I was able to see and discuss results as needed. I was informed of follow up care and future visits. Dr. Grunkemeier was personable with a sense of task at hand and revealed a sense of humor in speaking with him afterwards. I would highly recommend the Oregon clinic and Dr. Grunkemeier.

Colonoscopy on Dec 18, 2019. Everything went well with no surprises. Still waiting for biopsy results on the polyps.

Dr Grunkemeier was very personable and informative. He was easy to understand and made time to answer all my questions.

I left GI clinic due to the wait times and feeling very rushed for an appointment. At times Dr Grunkmeier would spend time a lot of time going over options and such, while others you would spend less then 10 mins after waiting over an hour.
