Dr. David Gotham Jr, DO

Backed out of my knee replacement at the last minute., after 6 mo of planning. I had my life turned upside down by his decision. The office is non responsive and doesn’t follow through.

Cursory exam, hardly pays attention, gets folks in and out. I was worse off after surgery and ended up having to see a different surgeon to get things right.

Dr. Gotham was the third specialist I sought opinion about my ailing shoulder. He was the only doctor to figure out that one of my broken bones had splintered off and bore into the fractured area of the other bone. Dr. G was very patient and attentive when describing every step of the surgeries, as he would also repair the torn rotator cuff as well. The other two doctors told me I would most likely never have full function of my arm again post-surgery. Even w/a permanent rod in my shoulder, Dr. G put my arm back together, and I not only have full function, but I’m pain free too! Thank you, Dr. G and staff, for taking excellent care of my arm, following up with after care calls, and checking in on my PT sessions. I will continue to recommend Dr. Gotham to anyone looking for excellence in orthopedic medicine.

TERRIBLE - YES I AM YELLING - OVER A WEEK.... He came in looked at my issue very very briefly, handed me a hand written prescription and MRI orders then left the room. My orders require him to finish his job and he has not transcribed the medical notes to get the MRI orders in place. After many many many calls he still has not completed this order. In the meantime my condition is deteriorating.

My MRI did not show a rotator cuff tear, yet Dr. Gotham was convinced there was a tear. I am so glad I listened to him. During surgery he found a torn labrum. I most definitely would recommend him. Excellent outcome! Thank you, Dr Gotham. Edna Saigh

Dr. Gotham is a very knowledgeable physician and is very attentive. He has been very diligent and informative after my surgeries. I appreciate his concern and trust his abilities completely. I would absolutely recommend him to any family member or friends.

Dr Gotham provided outstanding care from start to finish. I had knee surgery last June and it was completely successful. I am very pleased and highly recommend him.

Rotator cuff surgery and couldn't be more pleased. Dr Gotham was quite informative at my initial visit, explaining the internal damage to my shoulder after reviewing my MRI and then again during my post op appointment, complete with photos taken during the procedure. Pretty cool! His post op recovery expectations were on point and Im nearly back to my full range of motion mobility wise. Great experience with Dr Gotham and staff!

He is pleasant enough at the first meeting, however he is not very informative. He did not even have a model to show an example of the work he would do. He does not communicate well. He does not return calls nor does he initiate a call regardless of the situation. He did not see me for pre-op and unfortunately although it's not supposed to happen my surgery did not go well. I now must have another surgery. I will not return to him nor would I ever recommend him. A very bad experience.

Dr. Gotham listens carefully and makes recommendations based on what he hears from the patient and sees from the lab/xray results. He explains the choices available, and the results the patient can achieve so the patient can make an informed decision. He has a warm and professional manner.
