Skilled operating room GI doctor
Was admitted to Lee Health with internal bleeding. He explained the endoscopy and later the results in detail. Friendly.

Never again - Colonoscopy gone bad
YOUR APPOINTMENT: My experience starts with multiple office cancellations. This combined with the multi-month wait to get the visit, I'd say it was about 4-6 months before I got the colonoscopy scheduled. Not an issue since this wasn't an emergency, but what if it was? I highly doubt my experience would have been different.THE DAY OF YOUR PROCEDURE: All the patients that day are told to show up at the same time for the most part. So depending on the order in which you show up, you could be in for a long wait; so show up early. THE DAY AFTER THE PROCEDURE: I woke up with a 190 over something blood pressure, could not concentrate, disoriented, walked slowly. You read that correctly, 190 over ?? (forgetting the lower number) blood pressure. A 6:00 AM trip to the emergency room. I got admitted. The emergency room doctor, the observation floor doctor and the cardiologist all said my issue was caused by the colonoscopy. The bills have started rolling in.FOLLOW-UP: No contact

Office staff
Too bad such a good doctor has an unprofessional staff ! I have now 3 issues! I keep thinking maybe they just had a bad day but no !! It takes them a week to get you a prescription! & the staff will tell you that. ! Today I called 8 times still can’t get the medical assistant to answer the phone! Let’s face it this a business & they are costing him a lot of money! Unfortunately I’m going to get another doctor! Sorry Doc!!

Dr. Elliott has been my doctor for many years. Every time I go to his office the office and medical staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Elliott always takes the time to listen, to discuss any problems and to explain everything so that when I leave the office I don't have a lot of unanswered questions.

3/18 I was being prepped for surgery at treasure Coast Center. I had IVs in and my phone rang, a nurse in the operating room answered on the other end was a woman who stated she was Dr. Elliot’s secretary. She advised the nurse to put her on speaker advising that Dr. Elliot was next to her and would like to collect his copayment. I asked how much she stated $200. I said not so as I have met my deductible. She then said $46, this was unprofessional my info became everyone’s knowledge. Embarrassed

Silly me, I actually thought the Dr. reads your responses to the 15 minute questionnaire!. He was a very nice person but did not spend enough time with me. He seemed to be too impatient to get on to his other patients. I thought because he was a D.O. that he would ask me a series of relevant questions to my condition. He didn't ask me enough questions.
