Dr. David Dodd, MD

In December 2018 it was discovered that I had a birth defect (I was 52) that no one had discovered. Dr. Tai immediately contacted Dr. Dodd and I saw him a few days later and had open-heart surgery in January 2019. Dr. Dodd and his staff were amazing throughout this entire process. He met with my wife and I and answered every question and completely put us at ease. I have never felt better. Truly the best!

My husband had aortal stenosis and on Monday September 23rd. had a flesh valve placed to replace the calcified valve in his heart. His surgery was done by Dr. David Dodd and his amazing staff. My husband is doing well!! It’s Wednesday September 25th. and he is already up walking, eating and already showing signs of feeling better. His pain level has been very tolerable thanks to the staff and the constant attention. We are in awe of the whole crew!! They have went above and beyond in their excellent care. We have always trusted Winter Haven Hospital and even more so now.

Dr. Dodd performed heart surgery on me in 2017. This came as a big surprise to both my wife and I, as I thought I was in perfect health. He instantly put both us at ease with his clear and concise explanation of what was about to transpire. After the surgery and during the recovery he visited me on a number of occasions and was always upbeat and happy to answer any questions I had. His team is top notch and worked hard to insure that my changing needs were attended to as I had some complications during my recovery. I can't say enough about the Doctor, his team, and the nursing staff. All of them were instrumental in my successful recovery. As a result of this experience, I will only utilize Winter Haven Hospital and it's staff for my healthcare needs.

Dr.Dodd is just one exceptional Doctor. He has excellent communication skills. You will not find another physician that has bedside skills he has! We are from Ky. And are snowbirds in Fla. During the Winter. My husband had to have unexspected CABGx4. He sat down explained everything to the T. Patients who are not in the medical field it is hard to understand. He is patient and a intelligent individual. He is honest, a friend, we were fortunate to have a surgeon with the knowledge he had. Thank

we sit here in this waiting room and an angel walks in to tell us our loved one will be just fine. I being more like a sister than a friend to my Florida loves , in fact have always been called their sister, did my research before this surgery. Dr Dodd was high rated, maybe not like some Mayo clinic , etc but i will tell you, IF ever I am in need of a heart surgeon I will be Dr Dodds patient. WE have been impressed from the very minute we met him and he joined us in prayer. Thank you again sir

I would not recommend this "doctor" for any surgery!! He did not check my husband before releasing him from the hospital and he passed away two days later.

Unbelievable results... Preformed open heart surgery, on me...Up the next day..walking 400 ft..Can't say enough. About his expert, skills and experience.. If you need, sugery. Dr Dodd, should be. Your first and only choice..

I had open heart surgery in April of 2013 for an Aortic Valve Replacement and Dr. Dodd was my surgeon. I would recommend him highly and would use him again if ever I need thoracic surgery again. He is very caring and he and his staff took excellent care of me. I had some complications however, they saw me through it. I am very pleased and impressed by the cardiac unit at the hospital, the physician and the staff.
