Dr. David DiVita, MD

I used to have Dr. Divita as my PCP when he was with another Group located on 26th Ave W. Then he was patient and listened and was, or seemed to be caring. So when I had a change in my insurance and he came up as a PCP I eagerly selected him. WOW! what a change! The first time I saw him and was reviewing my history with him, after about 3 minutes he looks at me and said, "Come on, we don't have all day," or something like that. I was FLOORED! No patients, no caring, no professionalism. The other big thing you better be ready for is the incompetent office staff and the messed up backwoods Optum Medical group. His office staff left me stranded for 2 hours at Labcorp TWICE because they had never sent the order for the Labs. When you call their office you're on hold for no less than 20 minutes before you EVER even get to talk to anyone. After a long hold I was told by the person on the line that she would send and email to the person that handles this but she didn't know when or how long it would take! And no, she wouldn't leave her desk and walk to another office to speak directly with this person. In the end, after having to call again 45 minutes later and go through the same thing, finally after 2 hours of waiting they faxed my lab order! Choose another doctor, office and stay away from Optum Group!

Disinterested and robotic

I had a bad experience involving communication through office staff to the doctor and he came to the wrong conclusion. Not interested in ever visiting his practice again.

Such a great, caring dr.

Denied a sexual assault victim access to medical care at the office because not able to wear a mask over mouth. Not only would office not offer solutions but then discharged her their service permanently. Was also strongly verbally attacked at the office. This office is completely unprofessional and violated the oath. This office should be ashamed of their behavior.

Dr. Divita was more than willing to take the time to listen to my concerns as well as include my input in my plan of care.

Had to re-schedule!

I was turned away by this "doctor" because I dared ask a question about my medical records and the various third parties they share them with, including "contractors" and more. But, you see, I never actually met the "doctor". The nurses, furious at my question, either rendered him a twisted version, or he truly is unworthy of the title. It is my sincere opinion that this doctor thinks nothing of his Hippocratic Oath and that any rumors of Christian (or any) values are in error. Take your time if you can and find a better doctor - your health is a serious matter. And for goodness sake, watch out for his nurses! They sure would make stout correctional officers though, verily enough.

Dr Divita is always so compassionate and caring. He always takes the time to listen.

On time, doctor is very knowledgeable and covers all the questions you have.

Safe, clean environment. Always feel like he listens, and explains everything well, and works for and with the patient.

My parents went to Dr. Divita before we did & that's how we came to know him. (they were very pleased with his care too). We have since made him our primary doctor & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. We are very satisfied and happy with his care. He's conservative, but very knowledgeable, kind and practical. I trust his opinion completely.

Dr. Divita takes the time to listen, will make great recommendations but if there is a solution or medication that I know I have trouble with, he will look for an alternative. He's very good at explaining things in a way I can understand and if I don't, he'll find a way to help me understand. I've been with Dr. Divita for 17+ years. And a good shout to Ashley in his office. She is wonderful!

I go every six months to go over my meds and bi annual blood work up. Dr Davita is a pleasure to sit and discuss any questions I have. I feel just plain lucky to have him as my Doctor and walk out feeling good after I have my questions answered. I never feel rushed. I want to thank both the doctor and the staff. They are a pleasure to go too.

Dr. DiVita is EXCELLENT! He is personable and takes the time to listen and talk to you. I highly recommend him. He has been my doctor for many years.

November 16, 2014 Dr. DiVita and family were returning from church and drove into a shopping center looking for a place to have brunch. My wife had just tripped and fallen over a parking curb. Mrs. DiVita saw the commotion and suggested the doctor see if he could help. He examined my wife and stayed with her until EMS arrived. My wife broke her neck and had a permanent spinal cord injury causing her to be a quadriplegic. Subsequently Dr. DiVita and family visited my wife and prayed for her. They even attended her Celebration of Life upon her passing October 2, 2018. Dr. DiVita and family are the epitome of care and compassion. Fast forward to current day. My family physician is retiring. There was absolutely no question as to who my new family physician would be.
