Doesn't Follow Up
My mother broke her hip. She was in the hospital for 5 days and neither Dr. Dickerson nor his Denning the PA bothered to show up to check on her. We asked every day about what the doctor has to say about the surgery and how my mother is healing, etc., but no one ever knew a thing. Very poor follow up!

Shawn Denning
I saw Shawn Denning for my fracture right elbow and from the first appointment Shawn was on top of it, he is very knowledgeable in his field, was on top of my care, he made me feel like I was in the right hand to handle my care, he is compassionate, listen and was always available for all my concerns. I will definitely recommend him 100%

Bad dr
No treatment plan. No recommendations. Asked if I was looking at a potential surgery in the future. Didn't even look at the scan before or while answering. Very rude. Seems to enjoy gas-lighting his patients. This is a pattern reported and noted in several of his reviews.

We
My visit was disappointing I was expecting to see a doctor but it was a PA instead. I explained my issues I felt like I was being rushed out. PA gave me a script for MRI and out the door I went. No follow up appointment NOTHING! I never go back to this place again. I ended up with some serious issues had to find another doctor. Glad I did. Dr Dickerson pick and choose also the almighty dollar.

As a doctor said, scoping for dollars. What is worse, having a nurse tell you that you need emergency surgery. Then later schedule you into a hospital without authorization without checking the MRI. Doctors check your birthday before talking to you. It was the week of my 50th birthday. Dickerson's NP, Denning, said I could at that point do whatever I wanted. Then he had me go for an x-ray. Five minutes later said I needed emergency surgery and the only thing holding my patellar tendon in place was the sutures. He had me schedule an MRI. The next day, The receptionist said she would schedule me for a month later.? I asked about the emergency surgery. She said if anything was worrying in the MRI image they will call by the end of the week. The end of the week came, and I called to make sure all was OK. I left a message. Denning, the practitioner, called back after scheduling the hospital. He asked if I had an MRI. I was being scammed. What a present!!! 2 Dr. later, no surgery needed.

Can't recommend Dr. Dickerson
I already knew I needed carpal tunnel and trigger finger surgery prior to going to see Dr. Dickerson. I made my appointment to see Dr. Dickerson and was never informed that I would be seeing his PA. When I check in I said I'm seeing Dr. Dickerson and she said, no you are seeing the PA. I was like I drove all the way here and waited weeks for the appointment. I never met Dr. Dickerson until the day of the surgery other then a 5 minute zoom call. After surgery I didn't see the doctor only the PA to get stitches out and was told there is no need for PT/OT said no doctor EVER. I need to get the other hand done but it will not be with him. I'm still having problems and will find someone else to go to.

My only advice is if you choose to see Dr Dickerson make sure that when he coerces you to have surgery you get a second or third opinion ..Guarantee..your second / third opinion physicians will probably not agree to the required need of surgery that Dr Dickerson so firmly encourages you to have .

While vacationing in Lavallette my 13 year old daughter jumped in shallow water and broke her ankle! Brought her to the ER at around 6 pm on Saturday night... was treated kindly and efficiently.. they brought her back right away and did xrays and called the pediatric orthopedic Dr David Dickerson was the Dr on call... he ordered a cat scan and decided surgery would be best. Needless to say I was a mess considering I was on vacation and they are telling me my daughter is having surgery in 2 hrs when I thought it was just a sprained ankle! Anyway everyone was wonderful! The nurses, anesthesiologists, Drs, staff everyone! We had to spend the night they were so caring and compassionate with my daughter and myself included. We decided to use Dr Dickerson for the rest of her treatment and I cannot thank everyone at the hospital enough for taking such good care of my daughter ?? 5??

I called to make an appointment I was left on hold for 40 minutes. I left my phone on the call & called a second time on my daughter's phone to see if I could get through & got an attitude from the receptionist Amanda bc I called her our on the poor customer service when she was unapologetic for leaving me in hold. I finally got Office Manager Pat on the line who was also unapologetic & rude stating they were a small office. Dr doesn't have good judgement in staffing he's not fit to operate.

Dr. Dickerson, is the best Dr around. Hes excellent at what he does. He has rebuild ,just about everything on me that was torn, broke . He has compassion for us and he comes up with a solution right away. I will or won't go to anyone else but him. I have been seeing him since he was in Monmouth medical. After 2 Carpel Tunnel Surgeries, 1 knee surgery and 2 Rotator Cuff surgeries, I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you for all the great work you have done.
