Although we eventually decided that my issue is not neurological, Dr. Curfman was very professional and very helpful.

The MD seemed somewhat skeptical about my PMH migraine diagnosis but was fine "settling" for it. There was no other discussion regarding alternative differentials for my symptoms. Discussion about treatment was limited and the MD was pretty set on what he was going to prescribe despite my concerns about the type of medications due to recent changes with other Rx's. So I left and filled only 1 of the 2 Rx's.

10 years of wasted time
I saw Dr. Curfman for almost 3 years as an epilepsy patient. He did nothing but prescribe different medications to treat my seizures. I was under control for about a year and started having seizures again. After establishing an adult career. Why wouldn’t he send me to an epileptologist? I ended up having neurosurgery at the Mayo Clinic to get away from him but now I am having post operative migraines that he “cannot treat” because he does not specialize in post-op neurosurgery headaches. Well, he can certainly schedule my office visit when he knows my reason for visit. He can certainly collect my specialist copay. He can certainly collect a deductible bill. And he can certainly mess around with medication. While I’m thankful I had a doctor to care for some part of my life, I wish he would have taken what he went to school for a little more seriously. You are a doctor. You have patients to care for and also their families. And you drove one out of state for a cure.

Dr. Curfman does an excellent job listening to my concerns and getting to the source of my headaches. Over the past few years, he has made adjustments when necessary to my medications and monitored the progress. I feel he is very open to suggestions and lets me advocate for myself and care. I have been very pleased with my continued care and management of my chronic headaches.

If I could leave 0 stars, then I would. Seems like I’m not alone in that. It also seems like he enjoys pushing his patients off to different doctors. Beware- he definitely cherry picks what patients he deals with. Which, in my opinion is discriminatory and really makes me question why he became a doctor in the first place.

This doctor quacks like a duck. I am only giving him one star because I don't have the ability to send zero stars. I have been seeking help for a friend who has obvious cognitive impairment. He has been referred twice now, and both times it seems as if he either has no knowledge of dementia,or he has no interest. He keeps referring him to a physiatrist, and the physiatrist refers him to a neurologist. Apparently he's at the top of everyone's list. With less than 3 stars for a rating, how does this guy get referred by so many healthcare professionals ? My advise is to seek another neurologist who knows about his field of work. This Dr. Curfman has made it obvious on more than one occasion that he indeed does not !!!

Been to this doctor twice now for migraines. Tried telling him the problems associated with the migraine I have been getting, only to be completely ignored. this man didn't even listen to what I was telling him. I have been suffering from migraines for years now. He still won't order any type of test to see if there is a major problem. Needless to say I'm in search of a new doctor who will actually pay attention to the patient vs how many prescriptions he can send out.

I saw him after a seizure (1st). He said my EEG results were fine, it was an outside source that caused it. I went to a 2nd Dr for a 2nd opinion & had my records sent over. He read the results from the 1st EEG & it said (paraphrasing), the results are inconclusive due to the patient moving during testing. I had a 2nd EEG which came back positive for seizure producing brain activity. If I had one while driving with my kids, they could have been hurt or worse since he didn't care enough to help...
