I had two ACL on both right and left knees (one in 87 and one in 94) and they turned out great. I had complete confidence in Dr. Coward and was able to continue playing basketball at a high level until i was 50 years old. I have recommend Dr. Coward many times to follow basketball players over the years. Thank you Dr. Coward for the great work on my knees.

I have been seeing Dr. Coward for 20+ years and I have the greatest respect for his knowledge, skills, patient care, attitude, and I am sure he deserves much more praise then this. When I first came to see Dr Coward, I was in very bad shape with my knees, with his great insight and golden knowledge, he discussed what is best for me, he has helped me in so many ways that without him, I would have lost my ability to walk. Dr. Coward is the very best and I feel blessed to have him treating me.

I first saw Dr. Coward after a bicycle accident and subsequent failed bone graft surgery to my left knee in 1995. If you are looking for a Dr. who can think outside the box and who isn't afraid to do more than simply replace knee joints, he is your man. I was 36 and didn't want to go to TKR until I was older. Through innovative, critical thinking and great surgical skills he bought me more than 15 years. I will be forever grateful.

I was a patient of Dr. Coward in 1984 while at UC Davis, when he was a young surgeon. When I had my surgery for a completely torn ACL. I opted for conventional surgery as opposed it arthroscopic as it was very new and he had only done six. I had extensive physical therapy and I'm glad to say I have virtually no limitations. I couldn't be happier. Thank you Dr. Coward. David O.

If you want to feel belittled and feel like a whiner ( mine was knee surgery that continually filled with fluid after knee surgery ) than, this is your man... I never felt so insulted and small After this encounter, I drove home in tears!! We had to pull teeth to get his report, where he said I was a good historian! Ha! I don't know how that was possible, as he kept interrupting, not letting me speak. He is rude, insensitive, and a shameful example to his profession..NEVER AGAIN! Warning to you!

I went to Dr. Coward years ago for a ski knee injury. He is very kind and generous with his time. Today, I went to his office for another knee injury. I met with his PA. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend Dr. Coward and his PA. They are the best!
