What everyone else has already said (the positive) is absolutely true! I went to him for an umbilical hernia (my first surgery ever at age 51) and he couldn't have been nicer, warmer, and more reassuring (with a good sense of humor as well) ... Someone else in another review said that he did theirs a little while back and that they barely felt any pain afterward; same holds true with me ... I was back at work the next day (as I have a team who can lift for me, and I felt fine otherwise), and I've yet to have any issues to this day ... (For those of you that may be apprehensive; just go with him! Everyone in the hospital straight up told me they'd gladly use him if they needed to as well!) Thank you, Dr. C! ... For everything!

Amazing Doctor
Amazing job with my umbilical hernia 2 weeks ago and he talks to you like you matter and not just a number. Will go to him in the future for any issues. The only negative is the phone service some days.

Excellent Surgeon
Dr. David Cloutier is a skillful and conscious surgeon; he did an umbilical hernia surgery for me in August 2021. I say he is skillful because I never needed medication and never had pain to this day, one year later. During my visit with Dr. Cloutier before surgery, I asked him if he could hide the hernia surgery scar, and he said he would do his best to hide the scar. The hernia scar is barely noticeable up close and unnoticeable under normal circumstances. I appreciate Dr. Cloutier, and I want to say thank you very much for a surgery done well.

good surgeon- all staff at the hospital said if they were to have the same procedure done this is the doctor they would want doing the operation. Did not feel rushed- he answered questions- seemed to be accessible- was to the point yet empathetic at the same time..good and competent physician-

Dr. Cloutier is amazing - a top doc for sure! I first saw him a couple of years ago for my thyroid. He is thorough, does not rush his patients, and has a great and warm personality. I know I am in safe hands with Dr. Cloutier. Recently, I went to emergency room for abdominal pain. I had appendicitis. I asked the ER team if they could reach him to perform my emergency surgery and he was. He took such good care of me and is a master surgeon. Also, his entire staff is exceptional!

I had a hernia repair 8 years ago and have had pain ever since. Dr Cloutier has only ever referred me to a pain dr or prescribed meds that worked at first but no longer. He just says it is a strain and to wait and take it easy but how can this be after 8 years? He is a 1 size fits all approach to situations and then sends you to someone else.

He takes the time to explain your condition and supplies you with all the information both positive and negative regarding your procedure and empowers you to make your decision. Before you leave his office he wants to make sure all your questions and concerns have been addressed. He never tries to push you into a procedure he wants it to be your decision. Heidi in the office is also fantastic, efficient and very knowledgeable
