Dr. Chengelis was awesome! I went in for a umbilical hernia. We decided to do open hernia surgery. He explained everything to me. His bed side manner is so calming. Surgery was a success. Just before surgery we spoke about a cyst I had under the skin. I asked if he could remove as well. He said no problem. Long story short, it came back with positive margins. It could have turned out to be cancer. Not anymore. This man knows his job. I love Dr. Chengelis. My belly button looks better then the original. Thanks Doc! Carl.

Goes above and beyond
Initially I saw Dr. Chengalis for bariatric surgery and then for follow up appointments. Once telling him I had gone for plastic surgery and had a wound that wouldn’t heal he was willing to follow up on it and eventually offered to perform a small surgery to fix the issue- not only to remove the wound but to make the incision aesthetically better. He has a quiet competence that I love and he’s calm and reassuring when I’m anxious. I love his demeanor and always feel safe and cared for in his hands.

Caring and compassionate
Dr. Chengelis is a kind and compassionate doctor. He repaired a hernia that I had been suffering with for years. I had minimal pain afterwards, no complications, and a very clean incision. I highly recommend him and his team. They truly care!

Great Surgeon!
Dr Chengelis did my gastric bypass surgery 18 YEARS ago and I went from 314 lbs to below 148 lbs! I’m still at that weight and feel great! I couldn't recommend a better surgeon for this surgery!

Excellent Care! He is a great surgeon and his follow up and bedside manner was first class! I had issues that wasn’t his fault due my own health and he was there for me even though his part was successful. Great person and cared for me on a high level.

Dr. Chengalis is an awesome surgeon. He did an awesome job on my surgery, was so responsive to my calls and concerns. I never felt rushed with him and I felt like he truly listened. He is actually a nice guy! He gave me a whole new confidence and love of my abdomen. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a surgeon! Thank you so much, Dr. Chengalis!

Dr Chengelis was very knowledgeable, kind, caring and made me feel comfortable from the moment he walked into the exam room. I have had several surgeries and I have met other surgeons. I was most impressed with him immediately. My brother had hernia surgery with Dr Chengelis a few months prior to my visit and highly recommended him. I totally agreed with my brother and as he stated....I was completely satisfied with my care and my recovery.
