Dr. David Chabolla, MD

Dr. Chabolla has a kind, calm way of dealing with patients. He explains everything in layman’s terms and doesn’t rush through the appointment. I was very pleased with him for my care. Additionally, I took my sister to him for an exam to determine the type of dementia she suffers from. He was so patient and non-threatening to her. He was disarming in his manner and she didn’t feel embarrassed to not be able to answer questions. He is a kind soul.I highly recommend.

Dr. Chabolla, is an amazing neurologist. He allowed me to take multiple test at my discretion before starting me on medicine for epilepsy. He is always kind and pleasant and he listens to me. I wouldn’t want to see another urologist outside of Dr Chabolla.

New doctor, New eyes on me and my issues. New idea's and even ordered a couple new tests.

This visit was an unexpected follow-up visit regarding a new medication. My son experienced undesirable side effects from the new medications as he approached the prescribed dosage levels and we opted to discontinue this course of treatment. Dr. Chabolla’s staff booked us for the first appointment on the following day and after consulting with the doctor, we began “weening” my son from the undesirable medication and began a new medication. We appreciate the immediacy with my son’s case was impressive and gratifying. The flexibility Dr. Chabolla showed regarding the unsuccessful treatment reflect his desire to consider the patient’s well being first and his depth of knowledge and skill in his field, his understanding of the interactions between medications and his ability to adjust the medications to effectively treat my son safely and effectively. We continue our gratitude for Dr. Chabolla’s treatment of our son.

Since I’ve come to Jacksonville I had to find a reliable neurologist and like him. I had brain surgery that was successful but my ex brought it back after I had to leave him. He explains things

Doctor Chabolla's office has been unreliable for more than a year now. I would NOT recomend his office to anybody, specially if they are going through constant pain. For the most part, there's no team work here. You are at risk of having no medication at hand when you mostly need it, or missing a crucial testing being done because the refferal sent by them, was no where to be found, for instance. I don't think it's Dr. Chabolla per se. It might just be the overall leadership, the lack of communication or whatever happens "behind the scenes" that makes being associated with this practice such an unpleasant experience, 80% of the time. Dr. Karissa Torres is great. She was an angel on earth to me. Unfortunately she no longer works there.

Dr. Chabolla, great doctor explain everything to me, he even showed me and exray that other doctors never did. I recommend him by for as and excellent doctor.

My son has suffered from a severe seizure disorder since he was 3. He’s been in 6-7000mgs of medication, every test known to man and 2 brain surgeries. It’s taken 40 yrs to find a Dr who actually took the time to find out the underlying cause of his illnesses. Dr Chabolla is that Dr. In December of last year he was diagnosed with Acute Intermittent Porphyria however, since Porphyria is not curable he will continue these treatments as long as he lives. He is now better than he’s been since he was in his early 20s, and is on less medication than he has been on since he was very young. My son will be under Dr Chabolla’s care as long as he continues to practice, as he is an excellent Dr who truly cares for his patients and does everything in his power to not only “maintain” their care but to find answers and provide best care possible, for quality of life. When my husband began having issues last year Dr Chabolla was my first call, as I would not trust my family’s care to anyone else

See him for husband’s dementia for 8 years. Kind, compassionate, and caring. Very professional and knowledgeable. Makes it so easy to understand a complicated diagnosis. NEVER feel rushed as he is open to answering all questions. Would highly recommend.
