The BEST!
My husband has Kawasaki's disease and Dr. Caras has been his cardiologist for 20 yrs now, keeping my husband's disease in check. We just recently went thru a long hospitalization as my husband's mitral valve started to really leak. Dr. Caras brought in every subspecialist needed to fix things, ever mindful of my husband's kidney function to keep them working. After two stents - one 5mm one had to be stretched to 6mm, things are getting back on tract. He called in a number of valve specialist, the head of the heart cath lab doctor, urologist, pulmonary so that each could evaluate and get the right methods in place. Without Dr Caras for all these years and his knowledge of Kawasaki's, my husband would not be alive and 73 yrs old.

Dr. Caras visited with me after I was admitted overnight through the ER. He walked into my room and grabbed a chair and sat at the foot of my bed to speak with me. He took his time asking important questions to assess my condition. Clearly, he was not in a hurry. I felt extremely cared fo. His care and professionalism put all my anxieties at ease.

Dr Caras was my Dr. for a period of years watching my condition declining. My last visit with my health continuously declining I listened about his practice growing and he had one of the strongest volume of patients. My wife and I became very concerned with the level of care we received from this Dr. We changed doctors and just a few short months later I received a the gift of life being a heart transplant. My new doctor questioned why I waited so long before visiting them.

I had the good luck to see Dr. Caras while I was in the hospital recovering from mitral valve surgery. My husband and I immediately liked everything about him. I was looking for a new cardiologist as I was unhappy with the performance of my current one. Dr. Caras accepted me that day as a new patient. I saw him several weeks later for a post surgery exam. I waited exactly 15 minutes from check in to seeing Dr. Caras in the exam room. He has a great bedside manner

A patient of Dr. Caras's prior to the following event. I went to the hospital ER late in 2006, with shortness of breath. I laid in the ER for approximately 12 hours, without him being notified by the hospital. A PA from Dr. Caras's practice came by and we finally got word to Dr. Caras what was happening. A short time later, Dr. Caras came to the ER, took one listen to my heart and breathing. He took me for an ultrasound and determined I had a PE. I had emergency surgery, he saved my life.

I was told by Dr Caras that depending on An Echo I might have to have open heart surgery due to a aortic valve problem.I did have the echo 11 days later and then never got any results or heard from him or anyone in his office .I waited 10 days and tried to get the results but no answer. Finally after much pressure on my son's part Dr agreed to let nurse read me the results.I simply cannot understand this level of care.I will not be coming back to this practice.
