Can't Believe this Guy Is Received Positively
Dr Callander asked TERRIBLE as he made no effort to connect with me on a real level - he is simply just another run of the mill American style psychiatrist whose entire worldview is based on the notion that a pill can solve every single neuro or psychological problem. Does he not understand how to update a spreadsheet with a new pharmacy address? Apparently not because he would constantly send my meds to old addresses. Furthermore, he had the nerve to email me 8 minutes past our session time and had me go through a new portal which was extremely confusing FOR BOTH OF US....which is fine, but like hey, maybe warn me about the new portal PRIOR to our session, so I can figure it out, and we can both show up at the appointment time agreed upon. It only gets worse...he had the nerve to tell me to just wait til the NEXT HOUR for our appointment...so he wasted my hour, and then when we had the appointment finally, he didn't apologize or mention anything about it. Disrespectful & rude.

Dr. Callander was the best psychiatrist I have ever had. He was very professional and understanding. He explained my diagnosis and treatment in great detail and helped me recover! He is very patient and flexible. He helped me when I really needed it and recommended PHP/IOP programs that really supported me further. Unfortunately, I moved out of state so I couldn't work with him further, but I would if I could!

Dr. Callander served as a fantastic psychiatrist until I had to relocate from the city. Coming from someone who had not previously visited a psychiatrist, Dr. Callander was very much no-nonsense, and got to the point, which was incredibly helpful for someone who was trying to figure out how the entire process worked. Dr. Callander worked with me and my insurance to find a fantastic therapist to supplement with cognitive behavior therapy. I deeply appreciated his professionalism and follow-up, and would certainly recommend him to others seeking treatment.

Wish this doctor accepted more health insurance including Medicare and Supplemental. Became very costly at $150/ 30 mins and felt uneasy as to whether the doctor was genuinely interested in treating me or just in collecting his on the spot payment —- check or cash “ there’s an ATM downstairs “ he once advised me when I didn’t have my check with me !!

Dr. Callander has not only cared for my Psychiatric needs for the past 3 years, he has also referred me to who is now my permenant internal medicine primary care doctor and also an excellent CBT Therapist whom I see as needed. So in my opinion he takes an interest in your full well being: mental and physical. What is really great is how accesable he is. Leave a message on his machine and he will usually get back within 24 hours, often times the same day. I'm stable and well now with his help.

Dr. Callander is one of the most professional providers of any kind that I have ever had. He is prompt, courteous, calm, direct, patient, an excellent listener, gives excellent and pragmatic advice, and explains his reasoning very clearly. He sets concise goals and benchmarks for what would be success in a collaborative manner with me, and does not require me to come in excessively to check up on things if things are going well- we now see each other every 2-3 months or so.
