I thought he was a good doctor
I had seen Dr. Butler for many years, even when he left and came back. I never stopped going there. He was treating me but I was NOT getting better. Finally after writing an unfavorable review, at the time I was just angry for Not getting the help I so desperately needed, he fired me as a patient! I was the one who stuck with him through coming and leaving, without notice, and instead of him talking to me about my frustration I was dismissed! Now I have a fantastic primary doctor who cares about me and understands me, I am finally getting better! Leaving Dr. Butler had been one of the best things I could have ever done.

DECEIVING
This doctor has been hiding from his patients. The staff was lying & covering 4 Butler every time I called! This past May I could only see NP Caleb and was promised to see Butler in September! Whenever I called, I was always told Butler, NP Caleb and the RN are all at the CLINIC & not available & never got a call back. Recently I received a voicemail from Butler's office stating Butler is closing his entire office & ltrs will be sent out. I barely had him as my PCP to begin with!! I changed PCPs b4 I heard this revelation, because I could see the writing on the wall! When I needed him the most on one occasion, a situation that Butler caused, I was told they were all at the CLINIC; I left 2 messages that day, & I never received a call back! I ended up at the emergency room!!! I sure hope he takes better care of his patients in the hospital and nursing home than he did in his private practice! What happened to the Doctor's Oath...First, Do no Harm??

Dr. Butler is kind and caring
Dr. Butler has cared for my mother with dementia, my husband and I. He is respectful, kind, and knowledgeable. Even after my mom went to a nursing home, he would answer my questions on problems she had. He follows up on test results for my husband and I and discusses ways for us to do positive things for our health. He is caring and compassionate and has a nice personality. We have been very pleased to have him as our GP.

Very happy to be a patient of Dr. Butler
We found Dr. Butler when we first moved here in 2019. He has been wonderful. Could not ask for a more caring person. He has seen us through several health issues and is always on top of what it going on - he coordinates well with other specialists. He takes the time needed for the appointment, listens to what we have to say, answers any questions, and makes sure we are set before completing the visit. His staff are fantastic, and very responsive, returning our calls. We are so very pleased to have found Dr. Butler and his staff to help keep us in the best health! We have recommended him to others and they are happy with him as well! Highly recommended

Very RUDE staff. Every time I interacted with them whether it was in person or on the phone they are rude and condescending. Dr. Butler is even worst than his staff. He doesn’t take the time to listen he just wants to get as many patients in and out as possible. He treats you like a number instead of a patient. He also talks down to patients and his staff (I guess that is where they learned it). I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Butler to my worst enemy.

Friends and family up North told us that finding reliable healthcare in Florida was going to be a challenge when we moved. We are happy to prove them wrong! Doctor Butler in his team run the office with military precision yet with the warmth and caring that you would want from a doctor and team. I would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

For a few years, (we've been in the area for 6 years) I tried to get in to see him with my husband as he had great reviews, I couldn't find him! He just wasn't in the area any longer, so I was told. Then he was advertised again - in Port Charlotte. I called, they said he was practicing in Englewood, not in Port Charlotte, - called there. He wasn't available there either, - gone again, I assumed for good as the woman on the phone said he was on some trip, or some sabbatical, or whatever, just not there and she had no idea when he would be returning, if ever. So now, he's back again, can I depend on his sticking around; or at least giving notice he will be leaving and stop advertising he's in town, when he's gone! He does have great reviews, hope he stays this time.
