Dr. David Buchin is the best. His weight loss surgery helped me lose over 100 lbs. which I have kept off for four years now. Dr. Buchin was very helpful at every step of the process as was his staff. I highly recommend him.

Amazing surgeon and amazing staff. Dr Buchin, the nutritionist as well as the entire office are all extremely knowledgeable on the surgery process, the insurance requirements as well as my nutritional needs after surgery. Dr Buchin and the nutritionist are always available when I call with questions and have never made me feel rushed. Learning how to eat after surgery was the scariest part for me but Dr Buchin and his team made it so easy to understand and guided me through the entire process. Choosing Dr Buchin for my weight loss journey was absolutely the best decision of my life!

Really amazing with Pre-op and Op. I felt, however, lack of knowledge or empathy with eating disorders, as well as conditions that do hold onto weight like PCOS. I felt that there is no logic to the post-operation diet and keto, as it doesn’t cater to long-term success , etc. I am, however, thriving well post operation, and down 70 pounds, and am grateful for all this office has done for me, just wish dietitians, nutritionists, and surgeons not give vague suggestions on what *should* help all, as every body is different!

Very accommodating. Staff is helpful and friendly. A lot of information at one time better off printing everything as you go along and keeping a small binder so you knew what to do next.

Dr Buchin is an amazing doctor. Previously known for his excellent reputation, I drove from Queens to Huntington once I knew I would need surgery to remove my appendix. Simple, but not risk free surgery, I had full and complete trust and confidence in him. When Dx of appendicitis was confirmed, Dr Buchin got out of his warm bed at midnight and performed the surgery. Post Op he visited me and assured me that surgery went well, there were no complications or ill findings. Thank you.

Dr. Buchin was called in as a consult because of his rep. Never met a more caring and genuine dr. before. My husband was a patient in Huntington Hosp& Dr. Buchin was not even his dr, was called in briefly as a consult but took time to fully explain things to us in laymen's terms. When our doctors were not available to answer questions (which was often) he always came and answered our questions. He came daily (even on weekends & evenings) to check on him. Office friendly & helpful too.
