I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Berman. During my first appointment, he unexpectedly began discussing his political beliefs, which I found highly unprofessional and inappropriate in a medical setting. His comments made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. His bedside manner is terrible. He frequently interrupted me by raising his hand and saying he "doesn't care" and just wanted direct answers to his questions. I felt completely disrespected. While I appreciate the medical advice provided, I am seeking a new Primary Care Provider due to these unprofessional behaviors. I cannot recommend Dr. Berman based on my experience.

Unprofessional, distracted, and a bit of a weirdo
During my annual physical, Dr Berman was more interested in telling me about his food & drink blog than conducting the physical. His staff also filled out the labwork paperwork incorrectly 3 separate times, so I had to make 3 trips to Quest instead of just one.I'm guessing that if Dr Berman hadn't been so focused on showing me his food & drink blog, and telling me in great detail about his favorite brand of tonic water, he might have noticed that his staff ordered the wrong tests on the labwork paperwork. Apparently, 'paying attention' isn't really his strong suit.Oh, and he also billed for a service he didn't provide, so I had to contact the billing department to get that straightened out. Again, attention to detail doesn't seem to be a priority. The bottom line: do not entrust your health and wellbeing to this man.

Ben
My experience was horrible. The doctor was just interested in having me see a specialist friend of his. When I asked if it would be covered by insurance he told me I care more about money than I do about my own health and family.

Unhappy patient
I highly advise against seeing Dr. Berman. He manipulated me into doing an unnecessary procedure (endoscopy). Unfortunately, doctors make a lot of money from these procedures, and some of them are seeking a profit at the cost of their patients’ health. During the endoscopy, Dr. Berman hit my tonsil and caused me to develop a serious infection. I had to take strong antibiotics to get rid of the infection that left me with severe gut issues and acid reflux for the next 6 months, which I am still suffering from today.

Disorganized office. Totally reliant on an assistant without a medical degree. Doesn’t respond to concerns. I had an issue with my labs and he didn’t say a word. He wants correspondence done by email yet all he does is forward it to someone else.

I arrived 15 minutes early for a 10 AM apt today. I was quickly taken to a room where the nurse took my blood pressure etc, Five minutes later a nurse informed me that the doctor had 5 patients before me and that I would be attended to by a Physicians Assistant and not the doctor. I replied that there was no one else in the waiting room and went to check again. Still no one in the waiting room. I don't like being lied to NOR DUPED. I left without being further attended to.

David Berman has a god complex. He's insensitive and unwilling to understand the bigger picture for his patients. He doesn't listen because he's too busy talking, and when he talks he's demeaning and chauvinistic. He forces his prejudicial opinions on his patients. This is not only unprofessional, it is downright dangerous. Examples of how to speaks to his patients: You just need to let things roll off your back, LIKE A MAN! You will NEVER feel better, unless you go on a Paleo diet!
