The staff is extremely rude. The nurse actually hung up on me because I had the nerve to request a refill on my heartburn meds four days before my annual appointment. Speaking of appointments while I did go to him I insisted on getting either the very first appointment in the morning of the very first appointment in the afternoon. Apparently, I am not the only one because they would have to schedule me months out in order to accommodate this. The reason for that is because he has absolutely no respect for other people’s time. I never waited less than an hour in his waiting room and there were times that I waited for over two hours plus. I requested the meds on a Thursday and my appointment was the following Tuesday and they refused to prescribe it. I would absolutely stay as far away from this doctor and this practice as possible!! I feel like I am giving them way too much credit by even giving them one star.

Dr Benkoff is a very confident man. His confidence tends of come off as more smug than anything else. When asking questions he responds with “well I have been doing this for 40 years so I know what I am talking about”. You will sit in the waiting room for a minimum of 30 min after your scheduled appointment time. The max I had to wait was 1 full hour after my scheduled time. Super inefficient. I was also misdiagnosed by Dr. Benkoff. I was told there was no way I had a gallbladder issue and I was just experiencing IBS symptoms. I was told many people live with IBS and I need to learn to live with it. I was unsatisfied with that answer and got a second opinion. I have since had my gallbladder removed because that was the problem and feel so much better. I feel Dr. Benkoff did not listen to me when I explained my symptoms and medical history. I told him my medical history 3 times and the third time he finally wrote it down. Probably why he misdiagnosed me. Would not recommend this Dr.

My first appointment was six weeks ago, after waiting more than 2 months, I was in the waiting room for 45 minutes, then in the exam room 45 minutes...the Dr never came, so I made yet another appointment, today I was in the waiting room for 20 minutes, when the young lady took me to the room, she said he was in with a patient and I was next, 40 minutes later still no Dr! When I left, I called so they would not charge my insurance company...I won't be going back, and wouldn't recommend him

One of the best doctors that I have ever had. If I have an emergency he makes time for a visit, he is always available to talk and his office visits take longer than most doctors as he sits down with you and makes sure that you know what is up, etc.

I just tried calling to schedule an appointment. My PCP referred me to this doctor. Amazing. Per the answering service the office doesn't take calls on Friday. What kind of policy is that? Now I have to wait till Monday. Very inconvenient.

He is very dismissive and pushes his own products. He did not help at all when I had an irritable bowel diagnosis and was very stubborn about helping me at all. In fact, I was turned away from him because I demanded some form of treatment/therapy instead of an exhaustive battery of useless and humiliating tests. I ended up finding a dietitian that turned my life around like this poor excuse for a physician never could.
