Dr. David Bastacky, DMD

I had a wisdom tooth extraction. The procedure went ok. Dr. Bastacky wasn't very friendly at either the treatment or the post-treatment appointments, but he did a good job with the extraction. The problem came with billing. I was double billed for the nitrous oxide and when I contacted them, I was given the run around about it being a claim issue and I had to wait for the claim to be completed. It's still not. I had two separate credit card charges. One for the procedure plus nitrous, then a second one for nitrous that I was pressured into providing immediately after my procedure, when I wasn't in the right head space to remember I already had paid that. Shady practices here. I'm currently out an extra $128 and doubt I'll get that back.

Waited for a consultation for about 2-3 weeks & 5 mins before I arrived he claimed he had a phone call & needed to cancel. Not to mention I had to leave work early! Why would you accept a phone call appointment at the time of my consultation?!!

This was my first visit to this office and from the start I was impressed. From the AssiStant to the admin desk I was pleased with the delightful culture that I felt once entering the office. The assistant set the tone by making me feel at ease about getting my wisdom tooth pulled. I told her that it’s rare and refreshing these days to see someone that loves their job. The Dr followed up with being very knowledgeable and making sure I was comfortable. I guess he knew I was nervous. The procedure went great but my delightful experience didn’t end here. I had unusual pain that following Saturday, so I placed a call to the office and I fully expected them to tell me to come in on Monday, but they wowed me again when the Dr told me personally to meet him at the office and her took care of me on his day off. Wow! What an experience! Excuse any typos c I did this on my phone.

Staff is very rude and condescending. Does not inspire confidence in the least.

Dr. Bastacky is unlike any other surgeon I have met: he is kind, humble, and super funny and would get me laughing even when my jaw was wired shut (I think it was to check to make sure my bands were tight...??). He worked well with my orthodontist to come up with the right treatment before surgery and responded in a timely manner. I left another surgeon at The Maryland Center for Oral Surgery and Dental Implants because they could not figure out what to do for over a year—Dr. Bastacky solved the issue within one visit and I had surgery within 5 months from my initial consultation. I could not be happier!! I am on my way to full recovery and everything is healing really well and on time. I could not imagine going with any other surgeon for this major jaw surgery! Dr. Bastacky and his entire team have just made this process so easy for me that I’d go back to them in a heartbeat! But not too soon as I hope to not have jaw surgery again if I can help it...?? Thank you again!!

I was a little worried about having this extraction. The tooth was a failed root canal and the root was curved. Had no idea the tooth had been extracted until I asked! He is a very gentle dentist with skill. I highly recommend this dentist for difficult oral surgeries. Thank you Dr. Bastacky, you and your staff are the best.

Dr. Bastacky is the best oral surgeon you will find. He made the wisdom tooth process easy and stress free. Him and his team are very professional and caring. A great experience. A very nice office too. I highly recommend Dr. B. I drove over an hour each way to see him because he is the best.

I love Dr Bastacky ! I was in a bad accident on a long holiday. He opened his office up and came in to see me. His assistant / receptionist Joanne was wonderful. She made sure my daughter knew exactly what to do and how to take care of me at home. They even followed up with me over the weekend to make sure I was ok and didn't have any issues.

Very nervous going in for my wisdom teeth removal! But everyone made it so easy! The front desk was able to give me an estimate which was right on and the assistants were able to answer all questions and concerns!! Highly recommend

What a wonderful experience I had! I'm mid 40's and have never had a tooth pulled so you can imagine how nervous I was! From the moment I walked my insurance was explained to me in detail and when I was taken to the room for my surgery the assistant was very helpful in explaining my home care and what I should expect! Highly recommend

Had surgery almost a year ago. I had issues and went back for them to check to see why it wasn't healed and received a bill for over $100 and was not there for a consultation. The office staff is unpleasant and Dr. Bastacky should really consider having them trained. I enjoyed his service but will never return to that office

Stay away! This is a real "bait and switch" operation. I was referred to this office by my primary dentist. After I paid my deductible and my co-pay for a consultation I was informed that I owed $700.00 for services that were not covered or disclosed to me when the x-rays and molds of my mouth were being done. The State of Maryland and my insurance company are investigating this office for insurance fraud. There are lots of oral surgeons in the area. Do yourself a favor and find another.

Having a tooth pulled is never something to look forward to, however the Doctor was extremely warm, gentle and supportive. His front office staff - Millie and Joanne - were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bastacky !!

I had worst experience I ever had ! I had appointment on 9/13/16 and when I showed up for appointment the person front desk name Joanne told me Dr is gone for the day and my appointment was rescheduled 09/15/16. Joanne told me she had call me spoke to me about reschedule but she had not call me or I have talk to any one from Dr Brastacky office when I asked Joanne what number she call me she could not tell me and call me liar . I have never had experience where Dr office staff are so horribl
