Hope youhave time to WAIT to not see the actual DR
First of all you should put aside at least 2 hours for a 5-10 minute visit with one of his colleges. I have only seen him once and my knee is still killing. No one ever gets back to you. I should charge him for all the time I wasted waiting there....

Left hip pain finally cured!
I had pain on the outside of my left hip for months. Nothing helped. I finally went to Dr Angelillo and was diagnosed with bursitis. I had one injection in my hip and I can’t believe the relief. He is amazing.

I was referred by the ER for breaking a shoulder to Dr. Angelillo because they rotate names through their orthopedics. He never touched my shoulder. In about 5 appointments before I changed doctors he rarely asked me to show him what I could do after the first visit. Waiting for him in the inside exam room after the X-ray is taken is ridiculous. It would take a minimum of 45 minutes. I would frequently see him in his office scanning his cell phone while I walked to the exam room from the X-Ray room. He told me that he doubted I would ever be able to raise my arm straight up and doubtful I would ever be able to paint a wall or return to gardening like I enjoyed. I asked him for exercises to increase my range of motion prior to starting PT. What he told me to do was incorrect, and after beginning PT with whom he referred me to, I gave him copies of two preliminary exercises to further his knowledge. Everyone knows that physicians must take so many courses and don't have time to know what other specialties recommend. He left them on the patient bed and his nurse told me I forgot them. I had requested a detailed Rx for my PT because there was miscommunication between what I was told by him and what was written. When the office gave it to me, I walked back in because it was so brief. I was told that he would speak to them. When I had my follow up visit, he didn't see me but his older male P.A. who insisted he had seen me before and told me I was previously approved for weight bearing exercises for physical therapy already when I wasn't. I decided to change doctors after that appointment. My husband went with me to my new doctor's appointment and couldn't believe the difference in physicians. He told the doctor that he could have done what Dr. A did for me himself. The new doctor clearly explained my X-Rays and my limitations. He gave me support and was impressed with what I had accomplished through PT at that point. He felt that I would be able to raise my arm straight up again (which I have) and be able to paint a wall and garden. I have returned to those activities. Each visit he would ask to see my capabilities and wasn't afraid to touch the area. I suggest that anyone who is given a doctor's name in the ER, contact several physical therapy offices and inquire who they would recommend for a physician. Communication is essential. I did not feel confident with Dr. Angelillo from the beginning and stayed with him because after seeing an orthopedic up the island for a second opinion, surgery was felt to be 50/50 for outcome which Dr. Angelillo had initially stated to me. The proximity and convenience for my husband needing to drive me was my decision to stay with him. After seeing the lack of clear communication between myself and my physical therapists, I decided to leave. The wait time for being seen was extremely long after having an X-Ray completed in his office. My current physician is considerate of wait time.

Dr. seemed polite and requested more testing to figure out the problem with my sons knee. However very hard to get in touch with office since there is not direct line to the secretary. Secretary is very aloof and does not communicate. Not very friendly or helpful. And doesnt seem to like her job. That is an Alert to not go to that office. Other staff that I spoke with trying the reach Dr. Angelillo's secretary were helpful and kind. Waiting on a call back from Dr. Hoping for some communication from him. Hopeful he will address my concerns. All and all the secretary has made my experience in this office at a low rating.

Awe Man ! What a gentle bedside manner. Dr.Angelillo did my Arthroscopic Meniscus surgery. I remember just as the team was prepping me to go under, Dr.A realized I was shivering a bit. He looked over & asked his team to pass him some blankets & he pretty much tucked me in on the operating table. After working with big shot doctors that are always ordering their nurses and staff to do their “small” work, that kind & caring gesture not only made me feel valued, but it also put me completely at ease. I’m almost a year post op & my knee is doing great !

I was a patient of Dr Angelilo at the building across the way from Brookhaven hospital roughly 10 years ago. Dr. Angelilo as I remember him was an extremely pleasant doctor to work with and I would recommend him to anyone. About 5 years ago I moved to Riverhead and my knee problems were acting up again and I went to see a local orthopedist by the name of Dr. Ciminello who at first over a span of time gave me the same thing I believe as Dr. Angelilo, which was, silicone injections, but, the problem just wouldn't go away. Dr. Ciminello in counsel told me about a total knee replacement. I went home and slept on it and the next time I saw the doctor I went for it. Boy o Boy after physical therapy I feel like a new man!!!!! My hat is off to both Dr. Angelilo's and Dr. Ciminello!!!!! Thanks a Million Dr Ciminello wrote me a script for physical therapy in recency of time and I actually found a local physical therapist named Dr Angelilo which is his brother also an excellent doctor and PT.

I had been a patient of Dr Angelillo for a couple years and had arthroscopic knee surgery by Dr Angelillo. Every experience i had with Dr Angelillo was pleasant and i would highly reccomend Dr Angelillo to anyone looking for orthopedic surgery. I had multiple cortisone injections by Dr Angelillo over the past years also & was highly satisfied with the injection results.I am just sad at this time i need to have my knee evaluated again and Dr Angelillos practice does no longer accept my insurance
