Dr. David Anakwenze, MD

He gave me meds before I was diabetic he said would cause me crave sweets because I was having weight issues then took me off that was before he moved and my records are piled up in middle of floor. But prescribed me again after my review and he knows I'm diabetic cause he showed me his new reader on phone one day now he want fill out social papers for me that I need say he don't do paperwork mental health is not a joke or a stepping piece for his wealth he started where I don't guess matters to others cause it was riverbend where medicaid and human resources was in charge .. he got his leg up on us and now treat like we don't matter

Long term patient. I saw many psych drs since my diagnosis years ago. Dr A is by far the best I’ve met. He understands the symptoms I may be showing AND he listens to my explanations as well. He is so knowledgable of new meds & olde ones And he keeps informed so he can inform patients. He truly wants to help people live a stable life!! Thx Dr A! Televisit s are available and I get the same great attention as I do at the office visit.

Dr. Anakwenze is by far the best psychiatrist that I’ve known and I have been a physician for more than 33 years! He’s extremely knowledgeable, skilled, intuitive and compassionate. If I could rate him higher than five stars I definitely would because he certainly deserves it. His treatment of my wife has changed her from being depressed, anxious, very poor concentration and attention span, to a very optimistic, calm lady with greatly improved concentration and attention span.I most enthusiastically recommend Dr. Anakwenze to anyone with mental health issues. And I recommend him without any reservation!Words cannot express how truly grateful I am to Dr. Anakwenze!

I have been seeing Dr. Anakwenze for many years now back when he was in Riverbend is when i first started seeing him he has been by far the best mental health doctor I have ever had to see. I would and have recommended him to many individuals who had been looking he will always be my doctor of choice

Dr Anakwenze is always very attentive to my needs. Answers questions, explains diagnoses well, explains meds fully. Wait times can be long, but worth it. I hope he takes the extra time with me if needed. He’s normally close on times. I never feel rushed at all. Shows genuine concern for me & my family. Staff has always been friendly to me.

I have been going to this office for over year now. He actually listens to you and gives you the best advice even if it's not even his field!

I had a great experience with the help of the doctor. I trust his judgment since he has been one of the eminent doctors in this field for more than 30+ years.

He is the best doctor in the area. I recommend seeing him as he prioritises your long term mental health.

He is very rude and disconnected. Seemingly not at all concerned for my health but rather to get me in and out. I received virtually no usable help for my disorder from this doctor.

My son has been going to him for a while. They have poor appointment times and don;t even put on times when they are open. The doctor never even really listens to the issues and toss medication.

Our experience has been terrific....he has helped our family tremendously. We have been seeing him for 11 years now and with that he has worked with us with as little meds as possible for my children and mother. Even when my child wanted to stop meds he was very helpful with explaining to us what would happen if all at once so weaning off was best. During this time he would still see us and help her. At the same time he worked with my other family members to get their mental disorders in check. Yes wait times might be longer but that was because someone or even us were the cause due to needing a few more minutes of his time not just the usual 5 minute appointment like most other Drs of his profession. As to staff in the backside of the office they were very professional, the staff at the front desk at times they were rude but we just let Dr Anakwenze know, because since he’s seeing patients, he doesn’t always know what those receptionists are doing. Over all we are very happy.

My husband is a patient of anakwanzie and he has called several times and left messages and he never calls back and it's important ??

The doctor himself is great. The staff members that answer the phones are a joke. They are very rude. They were in there talking to each other one day while my child and I were waiting to be seen by the doctor and they were cussing like it wasn't anything. I have called multiple times today (12 times) due to them giving my son a 2 month appt. but only faxed one month prescription and they did not pick up their phones all day except twice and those two times they hung up on me. this is crazy.

I think he is great he has got me on all my mental disorder meds and tells me everything I need to know about them he has helped me through a lot.. he has never not once been rude to me real sweet guy

Don't waste your time. He is nothing but a rude jerk that will yell at you. He does not listen and like all doctors thinks he knows everything. He'll just dope you up on seizure and anti convulsion meds.

Very disappointed with our visit here.
