Advanced Hernia Surgery done at Honor Heath Hospital in Scottsdale. Dr Kumar is an excellent Doctor and highly proficient in her trade. This is my second side be operated on and Dr Kumar gets my highest recommendation... post op is healing faster than usual and that is because of an excellent surgery. I rarely give recommendations but needed to write this one. Be at peace she will take care of you.

I was referred to Dr. Kumar from my GI doctor because of GERD that had become un treatable with medication. Dr. Kumar was excellent from the very beginning. She explained my options, surgeries, pros and cons, risks, etc on the very first appointment. My surgery and care from her was top notch and I felt like I was very well taken care of and in very good hands. Her follow up care was just as impressive and I feel like I can call the office with any concerns or questions that may arise. The surgery was a God Send, as I have not had any heartburn or GERD since I had it done. Also have been off of all medication since surgery. Thank you Dr. Kumar!

Two weeks ago, I required laparoscopic surgery to remove my gallbladder. I am very grateful for the care and skill of Doctor Daveshni Kumar. Dr. Kumar became my surgeon through whatever process HonorHealth uses to distribute its cases. I am fortunate she was called. Dr. Kumar visited me in the hospital the morning before, spent a significant amount of time with me, and thoroughly reviewed my situation. She carefully explained how and what she would be doing, and listened carefully to what I asked. Dr. Kumar accurately described how I would feel once in recovery, and I had no surprises. I hurt much less during the week after than I anticipated. At my follow-up appointment another of her patients said, “She’s a great doctor”. I absolutely agree.

Dr Kumar has an ear about her that puts you at yours. She maintains professionalism and open cordiality. Her surgical skill was phenomenal in that my recovery transitioned quite well with moderate amount of pain as to be expected. Even my daughter who asked me was impressed by her ability to reach out and make everything understandable. I recommend her in a heart beat!

Being rushed to the ER with severe abdomen pain is always scary because you don't know the Dr on call. God heard my prayers because I was blessed to have Dr. Daveshni Kumar as my surgeon. From the start, she was positive, gentle and empathetic. She was quick to educate and assured me I would be taken care of by her and the team. If i could give her a 10, I would do it because what she did after my surgery is what really set her apart from all the doctors. The hospital doctor was not managing my pain after the surgery. I don't even remember that night because the pain was so severe. The next day Dr Kumar came to check in with me and quickly noticed I wasn't doing well. She immediately took charge of my pain management care. I honestly don't know what I would have done had she not taken over and changed how the Hospital Dr was handling my care. She has been a blessing and I'm so grateful for her expertise and kindness. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor!! Thank you Dr Kumar!!!

Dr. Kumar evaluated my father's inguinal hernia and determined it could be repaired easily with surgery. She was thorough in making sure he was fit for surgery and then did a fine job of performing that surgery. The procedure went exactly as she said it would and his recovery was, surprisingly, pain free and quick. He didn't even need to take any of the pain medication post-surgery. I would recommend Dr. Kumar for surgery and would go to her myself.
