After I was diagnosed with breast cancer, Dr. Haagensen was highly recommended by a friend. When I called, he agreed to see me on the same day with no appointment. He was kind, professional, empathetic, and up on the latest research involving breast cancer. He treated me with dignity and he acknowledged that I am well educated and want to a part of the decision-making regarding my healthcare choices. I drive 37 miles just to make sure he is my surgeon. He takes on insurers to do right by his patients. He cares deeply and that shows in his demeanor and his follow-through. He also has a rather nice sense of humor. I highly recommend him. Doctors should take note and follow his lead! When he retires he should teach medical students how to be the best physical-partner with their patients.

Being treated for breast cancer is never an easy experience. Dr.Haagensen did a superb job with my surgery and aftercare. I wish I could keep him as my primary physician. He takes his time and is informative. His staff is absolutely wonderful. I have nothing but praise for this physician and his staff.
