Ego prevails over patient care
After 3 years of being a low maintenance remission patient that complied with all recommendations by Dr. Spearman, alas I was experiencing abnormal reactions to a new medication prescribed. Upon disclosing what I was experiencing, and my desire to discontinue the meds, I was dismissed. Advised by his incompetent PA that THEY insist I endure this. There was no communication of any other plan or options available. God forbid these people have to recalibrate. I declined multiple staff attempts to schedule the next infusion. In absence of a medical plan, I elected to watch what I eat and resume probiotics to try to restore a semblance of normalcy as these meds left my system. 3wks before my next visit, I am told the PA and Dr. S are incredibly concerned over my self care and can no longer treat me. Apparently a clean diet and vitamins are blasphemous, how dare I!? Never have I encountered a tantrum such as this from a medical doctor. It’s embarrassing. All ego, no ethos, no thank you.

I was having difficulty going to work after gallbladder removal. I had urgency in bowel movements after I ate plus added abdominal pain, which made my empathy for clients difficult. He prescribed an added cholesterol medication to act act as a binder. I may have some urgency, but the pain and fear that I'll have bouts of diarrhea has improved. I do not feel as much fatigue and I do not feel I cannot perform regular life tasks. Thank you Dr Spearman, I cannot grow another gallbladder. You have helped me regain my quality of life!

Be careful.
His people talked me in to an unneeded clinical trial that ruined my life. Later, he was unable to offer a solution to a problem his PA solved in a minute.

Finally know what is going on!
Dr. Spearman took the time to listen and identify what was causing my pains that were leading me to the emergency room. Although the outcome is not that great but at least I know the cause and alternatives.

Making a positive experience out of an appt many o
From a superbly professional crew of practitioners, nurses and support staff to the immaculate facility. The team made this veteran feel comfortable sharing their own dedication and service experience. I naturally have a bias towards those who have served and everyone contributed to making an otherwise uncomfortable experience more bearable. Highest recommendation.

A breath of fresh air
Dr Spearman makes you feel so comfortable at your appointments. He gives you sound advice and truly listens you. I have had a life-long issue with constipation. He talked about my life, both currently and growing up. He suggested I start a sort of "meditation " if you will, to learn to RELAX. (Yes, I'm always tensed up. A family of 10 in a 1 bathroom house will do that to a person.) He thought maybe I "learned" to hold it as a child and brought that habit into adulthood. He was correct. As soon as I learned to UNLEARN my past behavior I was able to relax and do what I went to the bathroom to do. He is so sweet, so caring, loved by all who he comes in contact with. I'm so grateful I found him back in 2017. He knows and loves his job and it shows. This whole group is great, but Dr. Spearman is my doctor and I'm so grateful to have him.

About Me

care philosophy

"I'm passionate about making a difference in someone's life, which has a different meaning for every patient I meet. One day may afford an opportunity to remove a pre-cancerous polyp in one patient, while a chance to simply listen and offer advice or reassurance may be therapeutic for another patient."
